BakonICE v2.10 Released

greg | March 22, 2009

BakonICE Logo NoEffex’s BakonICE is back in the limelight with version 2.10. Not only can you cheat Socom Fireteam Bravo 2 in the most unethical of ways, you can now do the same with FTB 1.

Porting props to computermatt for bringing [most of] the features over to FTB 1. With that said, some components of BakonICE for FTB 1 are buggy or not functioning at all, while everything remains intact for Fireteam Bravo 2.

BakonICE v2.1 changes:

  • Ported to ftb1, lots doesn’t work
  • Uses a strapper so that it loads either ftb1 or ftb2 for you. It takes about twice as long to start up, so if it doesn’t come up when you hit the menu, wait a minute.
  • Took out the animated name thingamabob for now, it was causing problems. I’ll put it back in eventually
  • Added a mic hijacker – makes your mic emit sounds close to that of a broken cat

BakonICE v2.0 Released

greg | February 11, 2009

BakonICE Logo Just received word from NoEffex: BakonICE v2.0 is out and ready for download. Have fun cheating Socom Fireteam Bravo 2 in plenty of the most morally wrong ways — one shot kills, infinite health, walk through walls, perfect target lock, crawl in water, edit your player’s speed, and the list goes on and on…

NoEffex notes one issue concerning the new VLF-enabled installer –

…the installer (more or less vlf) freezes with custom flash0 themes. I don’t have any screenshots because of the above reason, however about 20 minutes ago before I installed the theme I and quite a few other people tested it and confirmed it works. For the users who have flash0 themes, I included the plain prx (for old firmwares and 371, as old firmwares works on new firmwares, it’s just larger).

BakonICE v1.90 Released

greg | January 21, 2009

Look who’s back with a fresh copy of BakonICE…

NoEffex’s cheat device for Socom Fireteam Bravo 2 just got a whole lot easier to install with its new funky fresh installer. Copy the “bakoninst” directory to PSP/GAME on your memory stick, run it, and voila — you’re ready to cheat your way to victory, just like Ben Johnson.

BakonICE 1.90 remains compatible with just about every custom firmware, both old and new. The installer will take care of installing whatever version required.

BakonICE v1.90 changes:

  • Changed the title bar thing
  • Various improvements
  • Added user space allocation (To be improved)
  • Added installer
  • Added RAM Dump option
  • Added a wannabe-dance function, not called to yet, but if anyone would like to figure out the animations and send me a list of all of them, I’d be happy to
  • Added various thread functions

BakonICE v1.80 Released

greg | January 6, 2009

BakonICE Logo Get back on the Socom Fireteam Bravo 2 cheat wagon with BakonICE v1.80. NoEffex has rolled out a new version correcting a major bug discovered in the previous… That and more detailed for you below.

BakonICE v1.80 changelog:

  • Thanks to a recent patch in the debug library, I was able to remove almost all, if not all flicker caused by _pspDebugScreenClearLine.
  • Removed the Anti-Server lock as it was removed, but not completely removed anyhow…
  • Added an animations applier as a replacement for the anti-server-lock. Has a variety of animations.
  • Fixed the massive overflow problem that 1.70 was absolutely plagued with. If someone had told me sooner…in that retrospect, any problems, pretty please email me at nofx@tshcodes.com.
  • A variety of other things that I forgot to open the changelog to document.
  • There is a bug that I’m assuming that is caused by the clear line thing, but I really, really don’t care. If anyone cares, email me and I’ll work on it. Until then, the very first bar of the title will flash whenever you enable clear line (by pressing a variety of buttons, whenever it changes a string).

BakonICE v1.70 Released: Socom Fireteam Bravo 2 Cheat Device

greg | December 22, 2008

BakonICE Logo Tested and stamped with the CFW 3.71 certified seal of approval — NoEffex’s BakonICE v1.70. Of course support for other custom firmwares, both old and new, remain fully intact. So get down and have some fun cheating Socom Fireteam Bravo 2.

BakonICE v1.70 changes:

  • Added a warning menu to the suicidal function and the stop pspbricker
  • Added a 3.71 build to the series, the prx is “bakon371.prx” in the old firmwares package
  • The secondary menu is now a pop-up-ish menu, more conservative
  • Added a header for the version number in the save selection, as when I implement new things I need to trash the old one
  • There seemed to be some problems with the config parser and writer, more or less the writer, and it appears to be fixed
  • Added infinite ammo to the in-game-only menu. Beware, it probably bans online
  • Various fixed pertaining to misaligned variables. I THINK I have most, if not all, fixed

BakonICE v1.60: Cheat Socom Fireteam Bravo 2

greg | December 15, 2008

BakonICE Logo Returning to the top is the always-controversial BakonICE from developer NoEffex. Plenty of optimizations made their way into version 1.60 resulting in a more efficient means of cheating Socom Fireteam Bravo 2. Check the changes below; you’ll see what I mean.

BakonICE v1.60 changes:

  • Changed the method in which I did the main/in-game menu variables and cheats.
  • Fixed the score modder.
  • Heavy optimizing of the cheat structure. It does more advanced calculations that I did not think of at the time of initial development. Total Size decreased. Speed increased.
  • Removed attachment modder. It failed.
  • Removed the stack viewer.
  • Pretty much redid the in-game menu, it had become all messed up on recent updates.
  • Much changes toward optimizing overall. Size matters.
  • The stick grenades and anything pertaining to nearest player now works. Again.
  • Added a kernel area dumper. Suicidal.
  • Everything pertaining to files in the seplugins folder shifted to a bakon folder inside seplugins. Cluttered seplugins suck. It will create the folder for you, but if you want to use your old ones you gotta move em.

BakonICE v1.55 Released

greg | December 10, 2008

BakonICE Logo You’re probably thinking to yourself, “I’m already cheating Socom Fireteam Bravo 2, to the max, how could BakonICE get any better? I mean, c’mon…. Seriously…” Then suddenly — like a flashbang to your face — NoEffex’s BakonICE v1.55 is available for download.

BakonICE v1.55 changes:

  • Secondary menu has analog, cheatbuttonage (longer you hold the faster it gets, to an extent), all the goodies.
  • Added a bunch of crap to the secondary menu, and I mean a bunch.
  • Fixed a retarded bug that was just a typo. It mixed up the stack area browser and the in-game menu.
  • Removed No Fall Damage, “Skytrix” as the creator calls it, and jump height from Hotkeys.
  • Added secondary attachment modder instead of Crawl In Water. Experimental. Experimental. Experimental. Did I mention it was experimental?
  • The in-game-only menu confused the hell out of me (as to why I did it that way), so, I revamped the thing, a lot. Changed the delay, how the buttons worked, among other things that annoyed me.
  • Secondary menu no longer goes through that long and tedious delay.

BakonICE v1.5 Released

greg | December 6, 2008

BakonICE Logo NoEffex with one more for the count… Further improving his Socom Fireteam Bravo 2 cheat device we’re now graced with the presence of BakonICE v1.5. And thanks to Slant Six, legitimate online play is possible again. Get down.

BakonICE v1.5 changes:

  • Slant Six added a new anti-cheat system. With this said, hotkeys will screw you over online. If you go online, use it, so you will get hit just like all the other online cheaters. Anyhow, I would like to thank them (Slant Six) very much for FINALLY making legitimate online play possible again.
  • Added ability to save your current cheats via Select+VolDown while in the menu.
  • Ability to suspend the animation thread, as requested.
  • Loading of modules from a .txt (ms0:/seplugins/bakonmods.txt), just like M33’s game.txt, except they’re always loaded, the reason for this is that there are a ton of various modules for this game that do things I refuse to do, and freeze up during the main module loading that M33 does.
  • Some fixups here and there.
  • Crawl in water disabled, FINALLY. Keep forgetting about it…

BakonICE v1.3 Released: Cheat Socom FTB2

greg | November 22, 2008

BakonICE Logo Developer NoEffex has good news for those sporting an older custom firmware… If that’s you and you also enjoy Socom Fireteam Bravo 2, then get a load of this — BakonICE v1.3.

NoEffex notes: due to custom firmware 3.71’s oddball nature, BakonICE does not work; however, other older firmwares are fine.

BakonICE v1.3 changes:

  • Fixed a lag out issue happening in ad-hoc
  • Removed the hijack room and replaced the menu slot with no-fog
  • Now, if you use the old kernel version, you can use it on 3.80- (with the exception of 3.71), I don’t know how far down it goes, but it goes down probably to 3.40. I did test it on 3.52 with success.
  • Auto-Finds the off value in the custom menu
  • Replaced the target lock code on the base UI to “Shoot Exposives To Nowhere”
  • Made using the hotkeys a bit more clear to the user

Download:
BakonICE v1.3 (cfw 4.xx/5.xx)
BakonICE v1.3 (cfw < = 3.80)

Word of warning: go online (Infrastructure mode) using BakonICE and you’ll be damned for all eternity. Please use this honourably; i.e.) single campaign mode and/or Ad Hoc with nearby friends.
