Quake sent word late last night with Extreme Link 1.6.3 attached, which boasts an all-new feature called Guide+. This new Extreme Link counterpart replaces PNG Imager allowing you to create fashionable guides for use in PSOne/POPS emulated games. And Extreme Link 1.6.3 v2 arrived this morning correcting a minor bug as detailed in the change log below. Good lookin’ out, Quake.

With the file ID 971 you know its been around for awhile… Far improved from the earlier versions it’s Quake’s PSP Extreme Link. It’s pretty much the all-in-one app for any PSP owner who runs Windows. From B6 to B10 we have PSP Extreme Link all over again. Quake’s Extreme Link v1.6.0 Beta 10 fixes some problems and adds a few extras.

Extreme Link virgins should know it’s a lightweight Windows app aimed towards simplifying many PSP-related functions… Use Extreme Link as a front end for USB/NETHostFS and CisoPlus, as well manage your high scores and memory stick contents — media, homebrew, etc…

Quake of SubZero DeZigns has two new versions of two apps that are bound to simplify your life…

First, PSP Extreme Link. This Windows app behaves as a front end for some of the most commonly used PSP tools — NetHostFS, USBHostFS, CisoPlus, etc… Not only that, Extreme Link manages your high scores, media content, you name it… It’s small, compact, and definitely worth checking out.

Next up for grabs — Pandora CMD. Another Windows front end for Team C+D’s Pandora tools. Easily partition and format your memory stick, copy the necessary files to your PSP, then watch the magic happen. You will need the official firmware updates to get started; find those here.

Team C+D shocked the PSP world when they released the first tools to ultimately revive or downgrade any PSP. While many similar Pandora software solutions have been developed; Quake of SubZero DeZigns takes us back to where it all started—wrapping a GUI around Team C+D’s command line utilities.

The sky is falling, the sky is falling! The end is here — the end of Extreme Link, that is! Over the past many months Quake has devoted massive hours towards developing a universal PSP tool for Windows. You know what’s up, all the stuff you care about — manage your PSP’s media content, control NET/USBHostFS and Ciso/CisoPlus from its easy-to-use GUI, and well, I could go on for awhile… Just download it and see for yourself. You’ve heard it all before.

By the way, Extreme Link remains incompatible with Vista; although, Quake has released the source code under the GPL. So if you have the knowledge or desire, make it do what it do.
