Homebrew Idol Update

Posted by greg

While we’re at the common standstill, which seemingly occurs every couple of weeks, I’ll share a little PSP Hacks Homebrew Idol update with y’all… The deadline was April 30th; however, as MK2k says, “good software takes time.” So in effort to meet the needs of developers, we’ll extend the contest further… Currently we have two entries — Pirata Nervo’s NervOS and MK2k’s Chipmunk Physics port / demonstration.

If you have the skills to code and you wanna clock some extra dough, see here for complete contest details. The new deadline… Ah, well… Another month — May 31st… How’s that sound?

NervOS Updated — Version 1.4

Posted by greg

Pirata Nervo uppin’ the ante with a NervOS update. If you dug the last release, you’ll definitely be diggin’ this one. Several additions and changes have been packed into version 1.4 — check ‘em below…

NervOS Task Manager Screenshot

Added:

  • Task Manager.
  • Music Player integrated in Menu.
  • Autoboot prx which runs NervOS (does the same job as a sceKernelExitGame patch).
  • Volume Bar.
  • Loading screen.

Changed:

  • Fixed bug: when executing a ISO/CSO file in Sony np9660 or march33 mode, the iso/cso will not be executed and the mode will be changed to OE Isofs, then NervOS restarts itself but the mode is not applied. - now instead of restarting NervOS, it exits to XMB and the autoboot feature will run NervOS and the OE Isofs mode is applied.
  • Volume up/down system.
  • Does not display “Loading usb drivers.., Saving user conf..etc..” anymore.
  • Fixed a bug with the “Stop Music” feature.
