Solitaire for the PSP Released

greg | November 20, 2009

If you’re like me, you like Solitaire… And it just so happens the mad beast himself, madman666, has released his own take on Solitaire for the PSP. This version is considered alpha but pretty damn stable as far as I’m concerned. After many games I’ve only encountered one bug…

You see that? Shit goes wrong 40 seconds in when I [accidentally] double-tap X on the covered 10 of spades. So if you don’t do that, you should be good. Enjoy!

Note: That bug is fixed in Alpha version 0.0.5.

ScummVM 1.0.0 “Shiny Logo” Released

greg | November 16, 2009

3.5 months in the making and one of my personal favourites: ScummVM 1.0.0, codenamed “Shiny Logo.” Shiny like this Becks sitting next to my laptop… Mmmhmmm. Best of all — my old man came by the other day and dropped off all my old classics; because yeah, you need the original game data files for ScummVM to work.

ScummVM Day of the Tentacle Screenshot

ScummVM is awesome if you’re sporting the supported game data… If you are, install it and ScummVM and re-enjoy all the classic point-and-click adventures from the day; I’m talking Maniac Mansion, Day of the Tentacle, Sam & Max Hit the Road, Monkey Island, King’s Quest, Broken Sword, Police Quest, and no lie — the list goes on… You can check the full compatibility list right here.

ScummVM v1.0.0: (all changes)

  • General:
    • Fixed several bugs in GUI.
    • Updated the project logo and icons.
    • Clarified licenses for several PS2 port files.
  • PSP port:
    • Fixed video flickering and stretching is some situations.
    • Improved suspend/resume support.

PSPlay v1.0 Released

greg | November 15, 2009

When PSPlay first starts (see video or screenshot on the download page) you may be thinking, “great, Mario Paint music composer on the PSP” or as the video progresses, “great, another wannabe Rock Band game.” But really, it isn’t either/or… This is Amrcidiot’s PSPlay and it’s somewhat fun seeing what you can come up with, at least for the first little bit…

PSPlay allows you to play the acoustic, electric, and bass guitar. As well the drums and keyboard.

GoTube v1.0 Released: An alternate to PSPTube

greg | November 12, 2009

First SofiyaCat, then JK108, and now Biscottealacrevette… There are likely others involved with making this possible too. If that’s you, let us know by leaving a comment below. Otherwise download and enjoy YouTube on your PSP all over again. And not only YouTube; watch Google Video, Mega Video, Daily Motion, and other clips from many popular video-sharing sites.

The coolest thing with GoTube: you can add/remove video channels (or sites) using GoTube Update under “Internet Radio.” Let me show you…

You’ll need to copy “GoTube.prs” to PSP/RADIOPLAYER for that to work. And also, if you’re using Bubbletune’s Game Categories plugin, you’ll want to keep GoTube uncategorized so the GoTube Update feature works properly.
