Comments (3)PSP Rubik’s Cube v1.6 Released

Hey Russ, if you’re reading this — you got nothin’ on my record time! Yeah, you know what’s up. And on another note: EXTER has released Rubik’s Cube v1.6 -
The Rubik’s Cube is a 3D mechanical puzzle invented in Ernő Rubik. In a classic Rubik’s Cube, each of the six faces is covered by 9 stickers, among six solid colors (traditionally white, red, blue, orange, green, and yellow). A pivot mechanism enables each face to turn independently, thus mixing up the colors. For the puzzle to be solved, each face must be a solid color.
The controls in this homebrew are designed to easily perform “Move notation” algorithms.

Rubik’s Cube v1.6 changes…
- Move animation speed is now 40% faster.
- The colors now match the colors of a real rubik’s cube (parallel sides were previously inverted).
- Timer (starts when the cube is scrambled and stops when the cube is solved).

Giving an extra few degrees of visibility to the cube is EXTER with his latest Rubik’s Cube version. It’s the same fascinating puzzle game you remember; solve it by rotating the cube until each face is a solid colour, and the quicker you do that, the cooler you are.

Rubik’s Cube v1.4 changes:
- Ability change the view angle of the cube to 36 degrees up

greg | February 5, 2009
EXTER re-enters the spotlight with a Rubik’s Cube update. I witnessed a good friend of mine solve this last weekend, and with the quickness I must say… Me, I still suck; however, holding L+Start in a stealth-like manner while randomly rotating the cubes axes works rather well.

Rubik’s Cube v1.3 changes:
- Back and Back Inverted moves.
- Cube solve and scramble animations.
- Move counter at the top right of the screen.
- Session saving.

Comments (4)Rubik’s Cube: the Homebrew Game
greg | January 26, 2009
Before time began, there was the Cube — I’m talking the Rubik’s Cube! I just had the opportunity to spend a few moments playing with EXTER’s clean crafted Rubik’s Cube for the PSP, and while I suck, you may have the skill and dedication to solve this bad boy. Or — just cheat by holding L+Start to easily impress your unsuspecting friends. Then re-scramble the cube (hold Start) and do it all over again.
