A quick look at the title you’d probably expect me to say, “ZX-81 has released a new Atari emulator” next. But nope, not this time. This time it’s Akop — Akop has released Atari800 PSP v2.1.0.1. And not only does it emulate the Atari 800; you get the Atari 800XL, 130XE and 5200 too.

Atari800 PSP is actually a port of this.

Atari800 v2.1.0.1 changes:

Just when you thought the Atari 2600 was dead; ZX-81 once again reintroduces PSP2600 back into our lives… PSP2600 is the obvious PSP port of Bradford Mott’s Stella project. See the sourceforge project page if you’re interested in emulating the Atari 2600 on other platforms.

She’s a minor one… PSP2600 version 1.1.4. By now you’re vastly familiar with ZX and his perfectionism when it comes to the dev. game. So, needless to say, enjoy emulating the Atari 2600 in all its glory.

PSP2600 v1.1.4 changes:

PSP7800 v1.1.3 changes:

• Sound improvement, new prosystem.dat file & NTSC Palette fix by Carpy (aka Danno)
• A thumbnail image is now displayed in the file requester while selecting any file with the same name of a previously saved game. It might be very helpful to recognize that game later if you have thousand different games in your rom folder!
• Auto-fire uses now the key mapped as Cross button instead of FIRE1 (games such as Xevious use FIRE2 for fire so it is better this way)
• In the emulator menu you can go directly to keyboard and settings menu using the L-Trigger key.
• Fix IR keyboard issue with fw >= 3.80 for FAT PSP
• Fix random black screen issue
• Bug fix in the low battery watchdog

News flash: Atari isn’t dead, nor is their 1977 video game console — the Atari 2600. Relive the era which started it all; well, sort of… ZX-81 has released an update giving the emulator a slight performance boost. More details below.
