PSP Hacks :: How to rip a PSP UMD

This quick how-to guide assumes you already have a hacked PSP running custom firmware 3.80 M33 or later.

1. Go to Recovery Console and switch USB DEVICE to UMD Disc.
2. Copy the data from UMD onto your PC.
3. When it's done, switch USB to memory stick.
4. Copy the data into your ISO folder on the memory stick.

Alternatively you can use PSP Filer to dump the UMD directly to your memory stick, creating an ISO-9660 compliant image, without the need for a USB connection.

1. Download PSP Filer.
2. Extract archive and copy PSP Filer to PSP/GAME on your memory stick.
3. Start PSP Filer from the XMB Game menu.
4. Once PSP Filer has booted, press Triangle then R-Trigger.
5. Enter the desired file name (.iso) and press enter.
6. Wait and watch the ripping process...

Before play, ensure "No UMD" mode is set to Sony NP9660 or the M33 driver.
