Re: [Release] NPaint 2.0 - PSP-Hacks homebrew competition 2007

ok i finished NPaint v0.9 last night at 9:25 but my power went out for 9 hours from a really bad thunder storm and didnt come back until about ten minutes ago (woke me up) but now that my power is back on i can realease it. i will edit this with the download link soon.

edit:
heres the download link
http://www.sendspace.com/file/2cfgrg

here are the changes

Now loaded images are editable.
Added the support for templates.
No need to restart to edit newly saved images.
Changed some controls

new controls

Analog and Cross - move and draw

Square - erase all and unload saved image

Triangle - stop music

Circle - fade (causes all background layers to fade)

Up - enable/disable dual brush mode

Down - scroll through background templates

Left Trigger - rotate counter-clockwise

Right Trigger - rotate clockwise

Right (D-Pad) - change brush

Select - save drawing to "Drawing.png" (always
overwrites so if you want to keep the current saved
drawing make sure you back it up first)

Start - load saved "Drawing.png"

Home - Quit

and about the templates

Templates are just an image that is loaded behind your current drawing. You can also draw on top of them after you apply them. I only supplied a few templates but you can use your own by saving a Drawing and copying it to the templates directory and replace it with any of the temp1-5 png's.

and i know that is crashes if you go past the last template for some reason it just wont loop back around but ill get it fixed in the next release.

In next release, you should make it where you can move the analog stick to move the brush but nothing will paint on the screen until you hold down the cross button with the analog stick. That way if you make a small design on the left part of the screen and you want to make another design on the right part of the screen, you could just move the analog stick to the other part of the screen without having to print paint on the screen while moving the analog stick.

ya ive been tryin to get that but it hasnt completely worked yet so i still have to do a little work befor i can it... wait just now as i was typing this i realized how i could do it maybe ill be able to do it tonight

edit: ive been thinkin more about my idea and ive realized that although it will work noone would want to have to do it that way (it would take forever to move it and you would lose quality) but im a keep tryin to do it. right now it is my main priority

Re: [Release] NPaint 2.0 - PSP-Hacks homebrew competition 2007

ok in version 1.0 so far i have added a menu with new and open options and stoped brush from moving off of the screen, i have also fixed the bug that caused the templates not to loop back to the first one, changed CPU speed to 333mhz, new music made by re_animate, and new eboot images and sound(sound made by re_animate)

edit: here are a few screenshots of the menu and brush not going off screen

Re: [Release] NPaint 2.0 - PSP-Hacks homebrew competition 2007

now theres a few more things i have added to v1.0 (maybe final release) heres the full changelog so far:
-fully functional menu with new, load, credits, exit, and options functions. soon to make instructions. new starts drawing a new image. load loads your saved image and allows you to add on to it. credits shows the credits(scroll from bottom). exit will exit back to the XMB. and options goes to a new menu titled options which has the ability to change CPU speed between 222mhz and 333mhz, ability to change music volume (needs work), ability to change sfx volume (needs work), and soon once i get more songs the ability to choose the song to listen to.
-brush automatically stops from going off the screen.
-fixed bug when pressing down too many timess to load a template causing it to crash. now it will loop back to the first template.
-added an animated intro screen
-new music (by re_animate).
-new eboot images and sound (sound be re_animate).
-controlls - now triangle loads saved image and start goes to the main menu from a drawing, the options menu, or the credits. left and right change options in the options menu.
heres a screenshot of the options menu:
