You cant go wrong if you follow 200gb's intructions.
After copying Mplayer Mencodec and your renamed gameoot to your C: root,
Press windows Start button, click Run. type cmd and press enter.
In the dos box that appears type cd c:\ to go to C: root directory.
Type mplayer convert.pmf -dumpvideo and press enter to dump/decode the video stream.
Type mencoder.exe stream.dump -ovc raw -noskip -ofps 29.97 -o done.avi and press enter to encode the dumped data to AVI.
Now look in your C: root and you should see the file Done.avi
All you have to do with virtualdub is to open Done.avi and then save it as avi, now you can go and edit the video in tmpgenc or whatever your prefered editor is.
