Advance Wars can do up to 4 player multiplayer off 1 psp, anyway. just pass it off when it's the next person's turn. unit roles are more clearly defined in advance wars, too. to put it simply: tanks > anti-air, bombers > tanks, anti-air > bombers. there's more units of course, but your main force is going to be based off that main triangle.
i hate passing around psp's/controllers and the like.. but w/e, ill stick with feild commander for 2 player. but i got that game to try it out, seems everyone likes it so im expecting it to be good. ![]()

Advance Wars 2 is great fun but damn as soon as I got to that green german like country in campaign I got totally pwned.

I beat AW, AW2 and AW:DS to death but I'm yet to play the recent game. I hear it's a bit shitty as the old COs aren't there and the CO powers have been nerfed.

it's a better game. the CO powers are more of a boost now than "OMFG, HIS CO POWER IS UP, AM I READY FOR IT JESUS CHRIST!". being that your CO travels around now, where he's at on the field makes a world of difference. it's good that they took the neotanks and megatanks out (because seriously, once you had the money Md Tanks were useless), and put a "war tank" in, which is basically a slightly stronger Neotank, but with a shorter movement range. Aircraft carriers being able to produce their own planes now kicks ass, too. "seaplanes" are 15000. it can attack ANY unit. it's almost as good as fighters against other air units (if i attack enemy fighters with full strength sea planes, i end up with 7 sea planes and 5 enemy fighters left), and almost as good as bombers against ground units, and they're a hell of a lot cheaper than both. the ONLY drawback is they've only got 40 units of gas, so you have to keep them close to temporary airports, rigs (the new versions of APCs), or your carriers to keep them fueled.

I have the actual UMD of Field Commander, I won it in a competition. It's a good game but as everyone has been saying Advance Wars>Field Commander

Sounds good, I may check it out sometime soon. It was a mild irritation when the dual CO powers were activated and you just thought "balls". I never really used the Megatanks as they only had ammo for 3 shots, and taking out enemy ones was easy, just throw Recons at them until they ran out of ammo and make sure that no APCs were nearby to rearm them. The carriers producing airplanes sounds also good.
