Charging a PSP with a different ac power supply

hi, i am wondering whether my psp will or will not... 'explode' if i plug in a different ac power cable into the usb port of my psp system. Its an adaptor from my motorola razrv3 which fits into the usb port of the psp, the output is 5V. Im wondering if the usb port is supposed to recieve less volts, in which case the psp will recieve too much power and just die. Im charging my motorola through the same port as i connect it to my pc via the usb cable.
Thanks a lot for your replies

5V is the PSP's power source, don't exceed it might end in a explosion and we don't want that now do we lol

No, as long as the power supply your adding is not bigger than the real psp charger.
