I have just used the guide on how to use the Pandora battery (Thanks to Datel) and the memory card which has now made my 4.0 firmware PSP Slim down to the 3.90 Custom Firmware.
I have looked everywhere, but I cant see what you can actually do with the custom firmware.
What I would really like to do is to be able to play the PSP games from the memory card, as it gives you more bettery power and also loads a lot faster than from the disks, plus having all your games on 1 memory card means I dont have to carry all the disks with me either!
Is this something the custom firmware allows?

Upgrade to 4.01 M33-2.
Read my M33 Firmware Guide for more info:

That is the exact same thoughts that I had, which is why I decided to go with the version 3.90 custom, because with this version there is a special guide for it where you can downgrade to the custom firmware in only 5 stages, with the special programs created for this version only.
If there is a 5 stage process for the custom firmware 4.01, that has additional features from version 3.90, then I just might consider it, just so I have the most latest version available.

personally i think upgrading to 4.01 m33 is not needed, all the homebrew you will encounter is for 3xx and may not work properly on 4xx
but thats your personal decision, i would go for the one that has the most compatability but that my choice.
Same reason why I am still on 3.90 m33-3 ![]()
