Also, I`ve just remembered something. When I did it the first time round I charged battery to 100% and holding L didn`t boot up the pandora menu. (green light black screen). I think I pulled out the charger jack after the orange light went out then put it back in again orange light back on and charges for another few minutes. Once light went off, pulled jack out, put back in, orange light back on for a few minutes more. repeated this for about half hour whilst washing up, making cupatea, whistling old prodigy tune etc. just to make sure it was properly 100%. Then it worked. I think since the psp automatically stops charging when it thinks the battery has reached 100% (orange light goes out) that maybe it`s not always got quite enough juice in there to jig the kick. Mines a hardmodded original slim batt. But this has to be worth a shot for all those with datels cos so many are having trouble and absolutely every where says make sure you got 100%. Actually don`t try this at home kids cos your battery will get red hot and explode and I don`t want to get sued.
edit: to say that hard modding bypasses the temperature cut off in batteries apparently so actually they can over heat and cause damage, so ignore this post.
