Default Vista X64 Driver Problem... what else?

So I took your advice and went up to the 64 Bit version of Windows Vista. Of course, barely any of my hardware was recognized. Not even my Wireless adapter, so I cant even connect to the internet to recover some drivers.

Is there any quick way to get all of my drivers installed? I am dual booting the X64 version with an X86 version of Vista which works... as well as Vista will work. (Im typing on it now)

Any ideas?

download the x64 drivers on your x86 partition, then copy/move the drivers to the x64 partition and install them

If the device manufacturers don't have x64 drivers, well, you're stuck on 32 bit versions.

But apparently X64 will accept the 32 bit drivers. Is there any way to extacrt all of my 32 bit drivers to use, just so I can have a functional OS until I get around to finding the rest?

That might not be so true... 32-bit programs work, but drivers...

Wireless drivers for older wifi cards seem to be the biggest problem.

Ignore that entirely. I didn't mean to throw in "and drivers"

Damn it... at this point, I dont know if its worth it. I have to find drivers for my wireless card, display adaptor, Memory card slot, trackpad, InfaRed, and my express card slot among probably other things. At this point, I dont know if they all have 64-bit drivers, or even if they did, how I would end up getting a usable, working OS...

Holy shit! Double post, but want to hear some major win? I contacted HP about my problem, and this morning, they sent me back a page with ALL of the drivers I need for a 64 bit OS:

I will tell you how this goes later on. Might take a few days before my system is stable, and running properly. I will keep the X86 version of Vista on for a little bit
