Default USB ports problem

I have 3 USB ports and 2 of them won't work, a pop ups comes up saying Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43). Meh. Anybody else have this problem? Anybody know a fix?

Using Windows 7 btw.

Sounds like it could be a driver problem; have you tried reinstalling the USB drivers for your mobo?

edit: according to some people, disabling then enabling the device could possibly fix the problem. It's worth a try.

I think it;s the actual usb's though.
I plug in my 500gb HDD in one of the bad ones and it doesn't get recognized. Then I plug it in the one that works and it works. same goes for anything I try to plug in. (Psp, camera, phone)

My only solution is to use one of these:

Anybody know where I can get something similar but with more ports and kinda cheap?
