I am the master at this kind of shit, first go delete ur temporary internet files, and ur internet history. If ur using firefox go to tools clear private data, if ur using internet explorer go to tools delete browsing history. Next, shutdown ur pc and take the modems power plug and all other things connected to it, then wait one minute put the plugs back and reboot, once u reboot, go check ur speed again, if it is still low, go to start-search-system configuration-then pick startup-disable all start up items-then shutdown ur pc and take the plugs out again and reboot. Check ur speed, if still not working :( go to start-search for system restore and pick a date when it was running fast,

hope this helps u man :mrgreenthumbsup:

I deleted all my internet shit, and the test was then at 385kb/s

I'm pretty sure the issue is not at my computer. earlier when i was playing halo 3 online, my connection was like constantly yellow. so i guess a call to comcast is in order eh?

Regardless of whatever is going on with my computer, my cable connection is currently being super-slow and in multiple cases, it loses connection entirely. The two computers on my home network are experiencing the same symptoms, as well as any gaming consoles connected.

Minutes ago, playing lost planet demo, connection was laggy, then dropped.

If you have a 2nd OS, test connection from there.

500KB/sec would be a dream for me.

Yeah I have Chater cable(here in MI) and every now and then(like every other month) will will be like that for a day. And you call them and they say they are doing maintenance.

I just upgraded from 3mb to 5mb like 2 days ago.. and I loves it.

I get about 560kb/s down. And around 50-55kb/s up.
Way better than the 350 down and 29 up I had before.
