Default NTSF to FAT

so today i tried to format my NTFS USB HDD to a fat32 so that the ps2, and others would read it, but no such luck. i followed the tut from Here to do such, (only the command line part) It took like two hours to finish it, but when it was done it was still a ntsf, and the data, that was on it before, was still there. so now i ask you, is there a program, or sumpin i can use to make it a fat32 that will actually work. I have all my data backed up, all 300 gigs of it, and I'm ready to format.

reason its a ntsf now:
I wanted to put vista back on a comp i had, and i forgot to remove the usb before installing. It formatted the usb, instead of the internal hdd, and installed vista on my usb. noobish mistake, cost me all my data. the comp never got fixed, and, out of anger, I kicked the shit out of the PC till the power button, and everything else on the front, wouldn't function. I have a new comp now, but i wanna fix my usb, so i can watch my AVI files on the PS2 again.
any insight would be appreciated.

I'm using a Windows XP mod, to look like 7, that i got from JCBerry (thats all i can say) it doesnt open all .exe files for some 4 reason (some kind of glitch) some things, and dos works fine tho. as far as i can tell.

thanx

Right click on the drive. Click Format. Choose FAT32 under file system and then your set to go

Scorpus, that technique only works on drives up to a certain size. It definitely won't work for a 300GB HDD.

Chaos, get SwissKnife, it works wonders. I've formatted a 500GB and a 320GB drive to Fat32 with it, and it's worked perfectly both times.

Ah, I see. I've never tried it on a drive bigger than 8GB...
