second questoin: will my ultra slow ram bottleneck the video card?? (295gtx)


as you might know my card died last week so i am getting a new one.

i want to get 295gtx but i only have a pci-e 1.0
will this bottleneck the card?
my cpu is dual core 3 ghz (but will replace it in 0.5 year or so when i7 are cheaper ) so this is probaly already bringen the performances down.

i am getting a new power suplly also Corsair Powersupply TX 850W
pretty cheap but everyone says it a good psu so i am getting that one.

the PCI-E bus being 1.0 won't slow it down much, maybe a few fps, but yes, your slow ram will bottle neck it, same with the bus speed of the cpu and such, what are your complete specs?

3.3ghz dual core 1333mhz bus speed.
anyway i am planning on selling the old parts anyway soon. so its not a really big problem. i cancelled the new ddr2 ram wich i wanted.
