Hard Drive Failure

recently my laptop with XP was being rather slow, I mean painstakingly slow, opening My Computer took 5 minutes
I tried a system restore, which didn't seem to help, I then did a virus scan via TrendMicro online this took 50 hours, I fucking kid you not checking a little over 100gb of data, found 9 rootkits -_- and 1 soyware item
after it had fixed that (I assumed) then after restarting earlier after checking processes and what such, i recieved this error

SMART failure predicted on hard disk 2
