[Request/Idea] Bloons

Hey again

I posted this in the Home Brew section but only 1 person, other than myself, seemed to look at the thread, I thought I would post this here because the old thread is of no use any more because SG57 is no longer doing Bloons because he is too busy doing other stuff and all the PSP Dev's are here and dont seem to travel to far away from this area.

So what I was wondering is if someone could take the Flash game 'Bloons' and port it to the PSP. It should be easy and wont take that long (what SG57 told me) and it is a really, REALLY fun game to play. I think it would be perfect for the PSP.

Firstly, "shouldn't take long" all depends on the skill of the developer rather than the relative easiness of the programming.

Personally, I didn't like Bloons so it would count me out.

Not that I could do it anyway.

See, I knew it was a good idea. I hope someone can pick this up. I am glad I posted it here, more are posting on it within the first hours of me creating it than on the other thread, that took 2 days for someone to say something.

Also, I thought I would let everyone know, Bloons Tower Defence is being made for PSP by ninjakiwi.com they said it will be started in about 6-8 months! So, while we are waiting for that, someone can make Bloons and then, maybe then, if they make it I can send it to ninjakiwi and they can take it and make it better or distribute it throught their website. So the person who makes it might get some extra recognition for making this app, maybe that's an incentive/motivation to make it?!

So, any Dev wana do this, its silent.

Well, since you've asked on every thread lately, I thought I would look into Bloons Tower Defense, and as far as I'm concerned, I like Defense Station Portable better:

Does that satisfy your cravings for Bloons Tower Defense?

As for Bloons, I've talked to one or two devs who thought about trying to make it, but it proved too advanced for their skills. I played it for quite a while in Flash, but I'm not interested enough to clone someone elses game in this case. I do agree that it would be a worthwhile project.

Are you completely sure the original wouldn't work in flash on the PSP in the web browser?

Yea, I have tried lots but gave up and I think the controls would be crap! It would be better to have it specially made for PSP. And I play Defence Station portable nearly everyday btw!

So any other Dev wana give it a go? It would be really cool to do it!

Well, thanks for your interest. I suppose the way to get around the copy-right is to give all the creadit (apart from making the game for PSP) to ninja-kiwi, like all the graphics and stuff. Also, I have asked SG57 to give me all the resources to this game, I would tell you how to get them but I dont know how to. Hopefully he will give me them and then I can give them to you (I know he has them because he told me).

Yea, lol, but I sorta had to use them lots because of them. Because if I couldnt say them what else could a say? I could only say them ,maybe I will make it my mission to say them as little as possible maybe then my text wouldnt be so.... um them-ish.

@hotrocker: I think you will have to talk to SG57, he is ignoring me, just ask for the resources to Bloons.

Forget it, he told me he doesnt have them BUT I can sorta help. What I gathered from when he was doing was he had to complete the flash version of the game then download the stuff from the website so all the levels were unlocked then used something called a swf decompiler or something and got them out of that. Thats what I could tell he was doing, if you what I am talking about great, if not, talk to SG57, he could help you.
