[RELEASE] OneManga PSP Client

a client for psp-hacks main page , forums or facebook . i dont have any skill except a little jsp . does that count ?

I've been using a PSP3001 off of CFWEnabler v3.50 to run v0.1 of this... it works, but it's had one or two issues where it's crashed on me.


Once was in the early chapters of Initial D, when I hit X; It turned off the scaling so that the image was at full size, but locked up so you couldn't move the viewing field, hit the home button, go back to scaled mode, or anything.

The second time, it froze up when I selected Hellsing from the main list. Never got to chapter select.


I'm still optimistic, though, this is a neat app and I'll be following it to see if stability improves... and probably keeping it on the stick to see if I have better luck later.

Highschool of the Dead and No Bra work fine for me. Maybe it is a connection issue. I was hoping that gzipping the data would speed up stuff. I'm looking for a host for the API because at this rate my 100gb bandwith will run out before the end of the month.

Guess so... the wifi access light would flicker on occasion, but that was really the only indication (besides the Home button working) that the system hadn't frozen. Made it seem to me like it was hanging up waiting for something to be sent to it, though I'm not sure if it's on our end (modem, router) or the internet end (site, API--whatever an API is). Maybe bandwidth or something, I unno.

Anywho, looking at the number of suspended series on the list, a general purpose "Sorry, OneManga is no longer hosting this series" message would definitely be in order.



Everything I wanted to read is either suspended or not carried by them; I'm open to suggestions for good reads. ATM I'm considering Tales of Destiny (love the game series) and Metroid (ditto).

Well, after a few more runs with v0.1 it seemed to crash whenever I tried to load anything except for Initial D out of the handful that I tried. And it crashed loading page 15 or 16.

I'm still game to toss v0.2 on the stick, though. Hell, there's a reason it's not 1.anything, right?

Well, actually you can't continue using v0.1 as you'll just get an API error.

Plus, v0.2 I think will fix your crashing program as I fixed a memory leak in it.

:EDIT: Seems to be hanging on loading "No Bra" (I chose it totally at random, honest!), but not crashing; I can still access the Home menu this time.


:Other EDIT: Ok, it's got Princess Bride Story up. A manga which appears to suffer from a lamentable lack of Inigo Montoya; I feel cheated. At least it's not hanging when I toggle scaling on/off anymore.


This'd be more fun if they had the stuff I want to read. No Ragnarok, no Battle Royale, no Priest, no Saiyuki, no Keroro Gunsou, no Read or Die... nothing that I've been reading.


:Another EDIT: Still crashed trying to load Hellsing. Does it just have issues with the more popular stuff? Seems like the issues come when I try to look for anything that's shown up on Toonami or Adult Swim. >_<

I'm not having any trouble with Highschool of the Dead, only has problems when I try to read something popular thus far.

Hellsing doesn't work because it's been removed from onemanga.com. Check out it's page: http://www.onemanga.com/Hellsing/. I think I'll add a prompt to inform the user of this. Thanks for your input.
