Hello. Well as I mentioned in my intro thread I like Manga and programming. So one night after nearly destroying my PSP in frustration as I tried to do some late night manga reading using the PSP browser I got a great idea: Why not create a native OneManga client for the PSP that runs like any other game? The next day I set out on learning how to make an application for the PSP. **DISCLAIMER 1: This is basically the first fully featured program I've ever made in C++. So expect so the occasional bug.** **DISCLAIMER 2: Tested only on firmware 5.00M33-6. ** Now that we've passed all that here is a video for you guys: Watch on youtube here. Link to download viedo: HERE << Another of my programming creations (youGetter -- Download youtube videos) The video features the first image of chapter 5 of Bakuman. The music before the program actually launches is a shortened version of the Naruto opening GO!. The voices in the video are my 2 bros and me. Sorry for the crappy video as I had to use my builtin laptop cam because I wasn't able to get psplinkusb (program that lets you use your computer as psp screen) working. Here is the link to download it: RIGHT HERE or download attachment. To Install: ------------ - Download the above zip file. - Unzip somewhere. - Transfer the extracted folder and all its contents "OneMangaPSP" to the PSP in the PSP/GAME directory. - Turn on PSP. Run. Enjoy! Key Layout when viewing manga: ------------------------------------------ CIRCLE - Return to chapter select. CROSS - Toggle image scaling. LEFT TRIGGER - Previous image. RIGHT TRIGGER - Next image. LEFT TRIGGER + SQUARE - Previous chapter. RIGHT TRIGGER + SQUARE - Next chapter. DOWN - Scroll down. UP - Scroll up. LEFT - Scroll left. [Only when scaling off] RIGHT - Scroll right. [Only when scaling off] DOWN + SQUARE - Fast scroll down. UP + SQUARE - Fast scroll up. LEFT + SQUARE - Fast scroll left. [Only when scaling off] RIGHT + SQUARE - Fast scroll right. [Only when scaling off] To quit at any point use the HOME button. CHANGELOG: ---------------- v0.1 BETA --> v0.1 - New ICON0.png, PIC0.png, PIC1.png [Thanks M8] - Chapter navigation v0.1 --> v0.2 - New UI - Menu at startup - Faster switching between scaled and original modes. [waaay faster] - gZip support - Memory leak fix TODO: ------- - Background image loading. - Music - Bookmarks - Updater - Recent manga list ...any suggestions? For help ask here or email me at onemangapsp@luqmanrocks.co.cc Thanks for reading. Starting work on v0.3! Last edited by ChaoticXSinZ; 06-28-2009 at 09:13 PM. This is the right spot to release your homebrew. I've added you to the Programmers group. This grants you permission to attach files to your forum posts |

Will this work for CFWe in 5.03? And what is the modding you mentioned?

I mentioned modding in the thread lined to because unlike this forum members there might not be aware of how to run homebrew. And like I mentioned above [after the edit] I've only been able to test on SLIM 5.00 M33-6.
Hopefully someone can test FATs and other firmwares for me. Also. I'll probably be releasing a BETA2 soon [today or tomorrow]. One last thing that I've thought of is expanding this to other manga sites. This would actually be pretty easy as I would only need to change the API so watch for that. |

This was very very nice. I did a few tests on it and I found some things that need corrected, or so I think.
> When selecting the connection at the beginning the screen is really glitchy, unlike how it should be > To scroll through the Manga list you have to go one click at a time rather than the [ ] + Up / Down that is said. Other than that I really like it and will use it.
