Info:
This is a clone of the classic TI graphing calculator game. This was actually made back during my 2.80 tiff programming days with coolguy5678 and I so it uses the 2.80 tiff sdk graphics library lol kinda funny. Oh the fire background is Fanjita's, not mine. This also means it has some sound like little beeps and whatnot :P Since i forgot to update my libraries on my laptop when at my lake cabin, i was forced to either do nothing or compromise. I looked through my projects folder and found this old gem lol. It had a few bugs i couldn't figure out back in the day that i fixed easily. After it was 'done' i wasn't satisfied so i started improving it greatly graphically. I also fixed a bug i didn't even know about back then (first column of blocks weren't being accounted for). Anyways i made this to help pass the time but also have fun as block dude is always a refreshing puzzle game. The source code is hideous in my opinion but there is no reason to not release it so come monday when i get my laptop ill release the source code (but i advise everyone to please not learn from it lol i didnt want to completely go through and fix it up, i wasnt that bored) Features: Pretty close to the same graphics as on the calculator, just colored (i made the dude though :)) Has sound effects, just little ones though (from the playSound function in the tiffsdk gfx library) Included levels are exact replicas of the originals It supports up to 100 levels named consecutively in the lvl folder from 1.lvl to 100.lvl in a very easy to use map format. Controls are displayed in-game About the map format: Take a pre-existing one and take a look at it, it is very simple (i'm too lazy to post all the specifics like the exact file size and whatnot) # = brick ' ' without the 's = blank space * = block S = starting position F = end of level door - you can have as many of these as you like :) Blocks are not effected by gravity upon loading so you can have floating blocks like you see in the ending levels of the original, same goes for doors and bricks. They all will stay suspended. The last 3 characters in each map file are the password characters. The password must be a-z lowercase or else you won't be able to get to it via password since only a-z are available to enter (so if you want a secret level or something make the password '???' or '!@#' or somethin) I may make a map maker type program in VB real quick if requested so if you would like to make your own levels and want an easy maker for it ask DOWNLOAD [SOURCE] Screenshots: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Enjoy i guess, lemme know if i should mkae a map maker it'd be really easy.
