The title might sound a bit cryptic, but the concept is simple. Is it possible to modify the region data (or PSP version data) within the two PARAM files in a games ISO to make the game display English text instead of 98% Japanese text?
And if that's all that need be done, wouldn't changing the PSP version (say 6.00 like in GT5 to the version of CFW your currently running thus making the game runable? I tried to modify the GT5 PSPversion data within the SFO edit 1.0 and overwrite the two PARAM.SFO files within the games ISO image (which i converted from my UMD into a password protected folder on my PC). Well changing the PSP version data in the SFO files still gave the same results as just running the UMD, even when i upgraded to GEN-D2, which i noticed some "glitches" inside the Initial D game physics where i didnt notice them in M33 (which im switching back to cuz i miss the themes). I'm probably missing something here, but im new to PSP hacking and know nothing about PSP programing. Just thought there might be an easier solution than decompiling a game and translating all the text just to have it display english instead of Jap heighroglyphics. Initial D Street Stage released by SEGA only in Japan. |

...no. for something to display english text, there needs to be english text to display.
simply saying something is english doesn't magically make it so. i would --rep this but for some lame ass reason the option is gone.
