Just wanted to say thanks for recommending that book. I learned quite a bit from it just reading the intro's and the first lesson. I didn't actually DO the first lesson, because I didn't get a compiler beforehand (and now I feel kinda dumb, and need to find a free one somewhere lol)

But then I decided to take another crack at the tutorial's here, and they made a little more sense. And they're very similar, albeit the one here is partly unorganized and less straightforward. But regardless, I still successfully made the Hello World eboot lol.

After I figured out how, I decided to download all of the svn library things, though I wasn't sure what I was downloading them all for, I figure I'll need them some day lol.

It's all interesting, but it's still very disheartening at how tedious it all is. But it's all good. I didn't get the book for nothing lol.

Default 5.00 m33 error

well, ive got a problem. i ve got cfw 5.00m33 and i wanted to start programming to psp, so i read this article and follow all the steps. but i just cant run the homebrew wavegen on psp (the screen goes black and seconds later, psp turns off). Ive done what you said about writing make kxploit instead of make, and it creates two pastes (alsample and alsample%), main.o, PARAM.SFO and alsample.elf files. Then i entered alsample% and copied eboot.pbp to psp. The eboot.pbp file was only 1KB. I can see the homebrew on games in psp, but when i try running it wont work. Please help, ive had tried everything...

I just installed 5.00 m33-3, and I haven't coded for PSP since the kxploit/cygwin days. Is there a guide somewhere on what I should do ?

if you're on windows, cygwin is still an option.

Its an outdated guide. I wouldn't recommend anyone to follow this anymore. There are better, more updated Windows setups
