[WIP] Assassin's Creed Theme

been trying for the last while, but with the theme maker im using it adds random shadows to icons, some are missing and other stuff doesnt work either when i put it on my psp...

Dissapearing icons happen when the icons sizes are too big (like if topmenu_icon.rco gets above a certain size or something). Making some icons 8-bit could fix that (but then the icons wouldn't look as nice), or you could make some options on the XMB use the same icons (known as icon redirection), and that would save space.

As for the shadows, in topmenu_icon.rco, did you get rid of the "sdw" and "fcs" images? If not, that's where the shadows may be coming from. You can replace them with a transparent pixel image (then it wouldn't show anything for the shadow and focus images).

If you have all the icons, and have a clear definition of where you want everything positioned, I can make the theme.

Well maybe i forgot to put in the transparent pic for the shadows, but i guess the size is probably the problem. Also i wanted to make a keyboard, but wasn't sure how. Would You mind telling me how?

Can't wait 'till this is done, looks amazing. Will the Icons for the sections on the xmb (game, etc.) spin like in the game?

What did you do to make those Icons?
Did you just take the icons from a screenshot from the game and add the icons from the default theme?

(I'm asking because I will eventually make my own theme and I'm wondering how people do it).

Its been a long-ass time since I've messed with theme creation but I'd love to help out. i got photoshop and am very meticulous...disgustingly meticulous. lol

also what theme maker are you using?
are people still using zingaburga's RCO editor now days?

@aaron i dont know how to make it spin, other than animated gif which I believe will not work due to size and when I tried putting an animated gif in the RCO editor it froze. to make the icons i was originally going to trace, but luckily the magic wand tool cut around it perfectly.

@scotch i am using that as well as another program which i forgot its name. it display how the xmb would look like and lets you move things position around.

Lol... Yay for the Magic Wand... Usually it's really dodgy.

EDIT: What are you gonna use for the USB Connection bar? Default?
EDIT 2 (A COUPLE OF SECONDS AFTER FIRST EDIT): You could make the background like flash white then show your view from underneath the animus thig that goes over your head and you could customize the way it looks for with the USB Connection...

sorry about this double post, but my psp wouldnt let me type anymore. the last two things I want to do before I put this theme together is keyboard (not sure how yet) and gameboot. the gameboot im going to capture myself, not 100% sure of what, but need to find my misplaced software CD. if you have any ideas for the gameboot, on how to make the keyboard, or anything regarding the theme let me know.
