Default My Personal Mods

I think the pictures speak for themselves . . .

I'll describe a few of them in more detail later. Let me know what you think.

I decided a few years ago to start modding my portable hardware to not have permanent cables, because I got tired of fixing broken cables. Every device there now has detachable cables, and I only need one USB extension cable (and one audio extension cable for a few things there) to hook any of it up. Yep, all that stuff packed into such a tiny case.

The raw circuit board is a card reader I salvaged out of a laptop and installed a USB port on, and you'll never see another set of portable speakers like that anywhere else, so don't waste your time looking. The speakerbox is homemade from a couple of nice speakers in a busted monitor, a heavily modified iPod speaker accessory amplifier, and the plastic casing on an ancient laptop.

Did you notice my adapter-based PSP headset there? The microphone end can be used by itself for simple audio recording, or headphones can be plugged in to make it into a headset; and it tucks out of the way nicely when plugged in.

If anyone wants, I'll take close-up pictures by request for any device there soneone is curious about. There are a lot of mods there, about a dozen or so if I'm not mistaken.
