Typical background size : 480 px x 272 px

Hai, is custom backgrond/themes can only be use for version 1.50 or work on all version?

Backgrounds are only usable through PSPersonalize on 1.50.. On 2.0 and up you can set pictures from your photo folder as backgrounds.

Custom themes are only usable on custom firmware such as 3.03 OE.

oh ok, thanks :D dang i cant use the themes at the moment x P <- because of 2.81 firmware , need to downgrade -.-

Yes, backgrounds can be used on ALL firmwares APART from 1.50, as stated above.
If you are above 1.5, or custom firmware, you can use them , no problem :mrgreenthumbsup:

how do you add images to make a psp backround.Like i open up a new project that 480x272.How do i add my own images to the project?

well, if its already cut out , then just open it in photoshop and drag it onto the new project. same goes for a regular picture.

thats the problem how do you cut certain images out?

you can use the pen tool, or the magnetic lasoo tool. Instead of cutting them out yourself, try going to www.planetrenders.net to get pre cut out pictures. you have to register to get them, but once you save them and open them in photoshop, then they are cut out already.
