Use an image editing program and save them as 24-bit bmps.

okay imma try it now. oh yea is there a way to properly change the background of the ctf? or just copying and pasting the old one out? because theres 13-27 and 01-12 files in the extracted ctf and i only have that picture. so how do i make it work? just rename the pic i want to 13-27 or 01-12?

What exactly do you want to do?

When you extract the CTF, you should have a PTF.

The background is in the PTF.

You can make a new PTF and add the wallpaper, so when you apply the CTF, it applies the background.

If you want to use the single wallpaper and have the XMB wave displayed, save the image as a PNG, and rename it to 01-12.bmp.

Depending on the theme, If you save it as a full 480x272 image, you might end up with disappearing or corrupt icons, due to limited resources.

okay now i get it but one more thing. bout the corrupted icons part. how can that be fixed? cuz on the original bmps it was the size 60x34. should i resize it then? and when i try to rename the png to bmp, it still says its a png file. is that ok?
