IN CASE YOU WANT TO INSERT THE ORIGINAL AUDIO FROM THE PMF INTO YOUR NEW AVI, BUT YOU ARE TOO LAZY TO FIND OUT HOW TO DO THAT BY YOURSELF:

You will need:
a cable to connect from your PSP headphone line-out to your PC's audio line-in (aka microphone input:cool:)
a software to capture audio from the line-in, you can download Audacity here which is a nice program im using to take care of that part

1. connect the cable to the PSP headphone and to the PC's line-in
2. Download and install audacity
3. set the psp's, input and output volumes
4. go to Edit>Preferences>Audio I/O> Set the channels to 2(Stereo) otherwise, on Mono the audio wont play and this wont work
5. go to Edit>Preferences>File Formats>set Uncompressed export format to WAV (Microsoft 4 bit MS ADPCM) or the file will be too big
6. when the video you want to get the audio from is playing, click on Record, click on Stop when you are done (NOTE: you dont need to record precisely from the exact beginning of the video, we'll take care of that later)
7. Export it as WAV
8. Open VirtualDub, File>Open video file to get the AVI video, then Audio>WAV audio... to import the audio from your new WAV file
9. Audio>Interleaving...>Audio skew correction, add positive values if audio playing too early, add negative values if audio playing too late.
10. Video>Compression... and select the the compression you want for your output video with audio (the default is (Uncompressed RGB/YCbCr)), i suggest using XviD MPEG-4 Codec to get small files, but the video quality is really nice
11. finally, File Save as AVI... and save your file
12. THERE!! Enjoy!! :D

if theres a question just post it here...:mrgreenthumbsup:

:mrgreenthumbsup::mrgreenthumbsup::mrgreenthumbsup :

finally!! now i can view all of ff tactics cutscenes...props to you 200GB and gamesadict and sid3@rm..!!

question tho, how big shall be the output for the avi? :)

----just tested this and it gave me 1G for 32mb pmf file...is that normal? also, ive tried saving it using virtual dub
and it wont save saying frame 0 cannot be read from the source.....

where did i went wrong with this...? :)

still, this is a good way to view the pmf files since i tried dragging the done.avi towards
the mplayer.exe and it played the whole cutscene...
