can someone clear this up for me if you make a custom gameboot and want to flash it using x-flash i an right in thinking that you need custom firmware installed or not,as i don't want to try till i'm sure so i don't end up with a semi brick...........thanks sudeki300

You don't need custom firmware for you to flash this properly. It is highly recommended though since harleyg's v0.2 allows you to unbrick your psp from bad bootsounds or gameboots. This is still a lengthy conversion process with a great deal of room for error. So I would advise if u did want to try this, make sure you have custom firmware installed.

fuuuck it wont even let me make a gameboot. Piece of shit computer's video card is too shitty I think even tho that shouldn't have anything to do with it.

Heres what my custom gameboot was gonna be.... =(

a classic drmadcow...good luck on getting that converted. I'm having my own UMD composer woes atm so I can't help you out converting.

oo damn, o well thanx anyways. yeah its fucked up I worked on getting this shit posted and all that then when I finally get around to makng my own gameboot it don't even work for me =/


EDIT: ahh I know what I did wrong. I was using divx encoded gameboots when i was supposed to be using lossless compression apparently and it's converting now. Thanks tho I'ma post this thing n if u need ne gameboots i can convert em for u if yours is screwing up like mine was big time lol

EDIT2: haha i made one and it turned out alright but the quality was pretty bad. I'ma just remake it and try agian lol

Ive made a couple of custom .pmfs myself nad they look quite good. one is with the dbz character gohan doin kamehameha adn another is with the boondocks show. anyways ive found something out. when i convert the videos to divx encoded avi, it doesnt work with the composer. but if you format it to xvid avi, then it accepts the video, and converts it easily. i hope this has help any1 who had trubl loadin their video files
