Nice guide kamen , very organized and damn easy to understand. But I got a little question , you said that you have to press L while starting 5.03 gen-b
But my friend didn't do that , just ran it , press X to flash files , press X to reboot and baam , he's on 5.03 gen-b with no probs what's difference of pressing L than not pressing it BTW , I just gave you rep |

thanks best...
was he already on 5.03 MHU/m33-6/GEN A? I found that if there was some form of temporary custom firmware running, i had to press L to force it otherwise you'll get the message "rebooting in 5.03 gen b" but when you check the system software, its still on the version of temporary custom firmware i was previously running However, if i never had any temporary custom firmware then there was no need to hold L. |

He was on 5.03 MHU , he used cfw enabler 3.30 to uninstall as I told him , then I told him to install 5.03 gen-b , it installed normally with no problems , so what do you think , and no problem you're my friend

the only difference then was I was using cfw enabler 3.60. If he was using 3.30 doesnt that mean he was on 5.03 m33-6?

No you misunderstood me , he uses cfw enabler 3.60 to install and activate CFW. he just uses 3.30 for uninstalling CFW , nothing more , and as I told ya , there was no need for the L trigger part .

ah ok then. not sure why that is...
From a tutorial perspective i guess its safer to get the user to hold down L in case...lol |
