Introduction

This is your one stop video vault for finding video tutorials on
A. How to Hack your PSP
or

in order to play the newer games that require firmware 5.55+.

Main

OK, lets begin. If you've already got a hacked PSP (permanent or temporary custom firmare) then click here to upgrade your firmware.

If you've continued to this part then your PSP isnt already hacked. This part of the tutorial is all based around the flow diagram below. Follow it through to identify the route to hacking your psp. When you arrive at the solution you will be given a reference number Px where X is a number. This tells you what procedure you need to follow within this tutorial to arrive at the solution! P5 for example, means you need to follow procedure 5.

P1 - Install CFW using MMS and Pandora

1. Obtain your Pandora battery by either
- A. Soft modding your battery
- B. Hard modding your battery
- C. Buying one
2. Make your MMS & Install CFW
3. Patch to 5.50 GEN D2

P2 - Install 5.03 GEN C

1. Install 5.03 GEN C

P3 - Install CFW without pandora

1. Invoke chickHEN R2 and Update to 5.50 GEN D3
- For 2000 models aka SLIM that DONT have TA088V3 mobo
- For 1000 models aka PHAT

P4 - Install CFW using Hellcat Recovery Flasher

1. Install 5.00 M33-6 from official firmware 1.50
2. Update to 5.50 GEN D3

P5 - Use PSPident to identify if motherboard is hackable

It a good idea to have "Hide extensions for known file types" in Folder Options(under Tool) unchecked (turn on extensions)

I'd just like to say thanks for these tutorials

I have a 1.50 PSP-1000 with 3.90 M33 so there was no way I wanted to run a Sony update

Today I bought Gran Turismo, my first PSP game for a very long time (Wipeout Pulse was my last) and I forgot that I would need a firmware update

So while I'm not a total 'tech-tard', I'm no tech-wizz either, thus I was dreading the thought of endless upgrading to all the CFW's since 3.90 M33 just to get it running but after finding this thread I found it a very straight forward affair and not at all the intimidating mission i was expecting

The video guides are brilliant so a big thanks again and thanks also to the folk who create these clever programs and CFW's

+ 1 Rep
