Sure i already extract the file, the folder named "official_500" and inside folder contain of "EBOOT.PBP"
For 500 m33 1.SONY OFFICIAL = official_500(EBOOT.PBP) 2.SONY M33 = m33_500(UPDATE Folder-->EBOOT.PBP), (TRANSLATE Folder-->en_recovery.txt) 3.SONY m33 patch = 500m33_4(UPDATE Folder-->EBOOT.PBP) For the 1 sony official - i rename the eboot.pbp to 500.pbp, but it appear corrupted files, so i retry again without rename and put into my psp, the psp update was show out. Actually i not really understand for the guidance and step that it show, can someone give me the more clear "STEP" for upgrading?Pleaseee...... |

you should have an UPDATE folder with EBOOT.PBP and 500.PBP together. along with the other files in there. after the first update, delete that folder and put in the patch UPDATE folder. or try using method 2.

I'm new to hacking psp's with custom firmware. The reason I want to use CFW on my psp is to play old nes/snes games on emulators on my PSP.
I've already ordered a pandora battery. I've gotten so many suggestions reading online tutorials for making a Magic Memory Stick. I'm currently using the official 5.03 firmware update. My question is, what CFW can I begin with? I'd like to use 5.00M33-6 so does that mean I have to downgrade? If I downgrade and then upgrade to 5.00M33-6 successfully, can I ever go back to an official firmware update such as the latest 5.50? This noob would appreciate any anwers. Thanks. |

I have a slim 2002 psp with CFW 5.00 m33-3, I would like to know how to update it the latest version, and what the benefits of doing it are.

Well upgrading to 5.00 M33-6 guarantees the latest stability for the 5.00 M33 custom firmware. However, if you need to play the newer games such as Need For Speed : Shift, Dissidia or Soul Calibur, 5.50 GEN-A is your latest bet.
For 5.00 M33-6, just download this file, extract it and move the UPDATE folder to /PSP/GAME and overwrite any old existing files.

make sure it is the OFFICIAL 4.01 update
and it is renamed as 401.PBP if that doesnt work, try redownloading it.
