Tutorial installing irshell 5.00 on all custom firmwares

Hello guys
Well many of you would like to know how to install latest irshell on their PSP
Well you have entered the right tutorial
Sections here :

1-Installing irshell for 5.00 m33+
2-Installing irshell for 5.50 GEN-B2+
3-Installing irshell for custom firmware enabler 3.50 and 3.60 ( Unhackable PSPS ) ( note : doesn't work on 5.03 Gen-A/B )

1-Installing irshell for 5.00 m33+

1-Download irshell 5.00
2-Extract it
3-You'll get three folders
4-Copy the IRSHELL folder to the root of your memory stick (Not MP_ROOT)

5-Open the 'PSP' folder resulted from the extraction
6-You'll get two folders 'GAME' and 'GAME150'
7-Open GAME folder then copy the folder 'irshell2x3x' to ms0:/PSP/GAME/
and if you have 1.50 kernel add-on installed , you can open the GAME150 folder and copy the two folders to ms0:/PSP/GAME150/
8-The part of seplugins folder : You can install that plugin if you want your PSP to automatically boot to irshell 5.00 instead of xmb
to do so : simply copy this file 'irsautoboot' to ms0:/SEPLUGINS/ and this line (ms0:/seplugins/irsautoboot.prx 1) to ms0:/SEPLUGINS/VSH.TXT
9-Enjoy , you got irshell installed

2-Installing irshell for 5.50 GEN-B2+

1-Download irshell 5.00
2-Extract it
3-You'll get three folders
4-Copy the IRSHELL folder to the root of your memory stick (Not MP_ROOT)

5-Open the 'PSP' folder resulted from the extraction
6-You'll get two folders 'GAME' and 'GAME150'
7-Open GAME folder then copy the folder 'irshell2x3x' to ms0:/PSP/GAME/
Note : There's no 1.50 kernel add-on for 5.50 GEN+ so don't copy the contents of GAME150 folder
8-Optional : The part of seplugins folder : You can install that plugin if you want your PSP to automatically boot to irshell 5.00 instead of xmb
to do so : simply copy this file 'irsautoboot' to ms0:/SEPLUGINS/ and this line(ms0:/seplugins/irsautoboot.prx 1) to ms0:/SEPLUGINS/VSH.TXT
9-Now to make irshell compatible with 5.50 GEN-B2+
Download Irshell 5.50 GEN-B2+ patch

10-Extract it
11-You'll get a PSP folder , open it , you'll get a GAME folder , open it
12-You'll find a folder named '550 GEN IRSHELL' , copy it to ms0:/PSP/GAME/
13-Run the patch from your PSP
14-Done ! Enjoy
Notice : After installing this patch on 5.50 GEN-D/D2 for example the system info will read 5.50 GEN-B(FULL) but don't mind it just does that

3-Installing irshell for custom firmware enabler 3.50 and 3.60 ( unhackable PSPS ) ( note : doesn't work on 5.03 Gen-A/B )

1-Download irshell 5.00
2-Extract it
3-You'll get three folders
4-Copy the IRSHELL folder to the root of your memory stick (Not MP_ROOT)

5-Open the 'PSP' folder resulted from the extraction
6-You'll get two folders 'GAME' and 'GAME150'
7-Open GAME folder then copy the folder 'irshell2x3x' to ms0:/PSP/GAME/
Note : Unhackable PSPS don't have 1.50 kernel add-on so don't copy the contents of GAME150
8-Notice : You can't use the auto irshell boot function for unhackable PSPS as once you close the PSP it's back to OFW
9-Now for making the irshell compatible with CFWE 3.50/3.60
First of all make sure these requirments are done before starting to patch

A-Fresh install of custom firmware enabler
B-The plugins loaded by game.txt are all disabled

Now to start patching but first you must keep in mind you use this at your own risk , this patches some files of custom firmware enabler in flash0 so if you brick I or bosshunter (the patch maker) don't take any responsibilities
10-Download Irshell patch for CFW enabler
11-Extract it
12-You'll get an 'IRSHELL' folder , Copy it to the root of the memory stick to replace the old IRSHELL folder
13-Run irshell
14-Go to directory view and go to ms0:/IRSHELL/PATCH/5.03/
15-Run btcnfpatch.prx

16-Wait for a few seconds , if done successfully you should see this pic :

17-You can now enable your game.txt plugins again
18-Enjoy
Note : There's a known bug with irshell on custom firmware enabler 3.60 , it fails to run PSX games with irshell.It works perfectly with custom firmware enabler 3.50 though.

Will that patch work for iR Shell 4.9? irshell 5.0 is 16MB! I already have irshell 4.9 and would rather not use my bandwidth to download a file as large as 16MB.

I tried it and the patch does work with 4.9; not just 5.0.

Yup. Since it doesnt work on GEN-A/B, I highly doubt it'll work on GEN-C.

well f***..... i was thinking of doing that after i finish beating 3 ps1 games XD

but since thats been answer a new question. whats the difference between the CFW m33 whatever and GEN? and whats the latest m33 firmware and is it better than GEN or not so great?

biggest difference is that GEN custom firmware enablers do not require you to decrypt games. They do it on the fly. The latest custom firmware enabler for an m33 based custom firmware is custom firmware enabler 3.70.

my psp (phat) is already downgraded to 5.00 m33-4, how do i upgrade it to 5.50 cfw (gen d, gen b or gen a (build 4) so that i can play newer and better games....

how do i do it (without pandora) and what software/programs do i need to do it?

really need your help....
