- Flash 3.71/3.80/3.90/4.01/5.00 M33 from the M33 Recovery Menu or Time Machine - Take 1.50/SE/OE/M33/GEN firmwares straight to 3.71/3.80/3.90/4.01/5.00 M33 - Make/Restore flash0, flash1 and PSN Activation Backups. - Launch other programs from itself (Such as nandtool!) ![]() Installing Hellcat's Recovery Flasher First Download from HERE - or check the Release Thread for Updates On Custom Firmware - Place the RECOVERY folder from the download into ms0:/PSP/GAME/ -or- On 1.50 - Copy both folders from inside the 1.50 folder contained within the download to ms0:/PSP/GAME/ Then download the 3.71 3.80 3.90 4.01 or 5.00 Update and copy to the root of the memory stick renamed as 371.PBP or 380.PBP or 390.PBP or 401.PBP or 500.PBP (You may already have one of these from your DCv3/4/5/6/7/8 pandora setup. You can just keep that on there then.) NOTES: Never run the recovery version outside of the folder specified or it will fail (Additionally there is an elf menu version for those of you wanting it on your pandora stick). Using Hellcat's Recovery Flasher 1.50, SE, OE requires the program be started from the XMB otherwise on M33 or GEN you can run it from Recovery or XMB. 1 - You will be greeted by the warning screen read it and select one of the I Agree statements. 2 - Make your selection between 3.71 3.80 3.90 4.01 or 5.00 using X. 3 - Scroll down to "Install M33 CFW" and click on it. 4 - Choose between reset settings or not though i would recommend the reset. 5 - Wait for it to complete and enjoy! NOTES: If your power light is flashing just wait this is normal! Optionally Making and Restoring flash0/1 Backups Flash0/1 (NAND File) Backups can be made from the "Backup Flash content" menu, if one exists you can overwrite it or create a new backup. Restoring the backup will require the EBOOT.PBP update from the same firmware renamed appropriately (ex. 401.PBP) (NOTE: In the case of 3.60 M33 use the 352.PBP) and placed on the root of the memory stick. Select Flash/Restore complete FW from backup and chooser the backup you wish to flash and click on Let's go. NOTES - Any operations that flash files to a PSP come with a risk. I nor the author of the program are responsible for anything that happens. Hellcat provides you with plenty of warnings and I would take them seriously. I do apologize for not being able to provide screen shots for individual menu's on this one. I tried all the usual plugins and I believe they are being blocked for the safety of the flasher program itself.

I can't get it to work using the 4.xx kernal (I was on m33 4.01-2 and installed the fatms.prx).
If I run it under 1.5 kernal it says I must be on at least 2.71, and under 4.xx it just goes to black screen then dies. I've seen many people with the same problem. Do you know what's going on? |
