I can't get it to work using the 4.xx kernal (I was on m33 4.01-2 and installed the fatms.prx).
If I run it under 1.5 kernal it says I must be on at least 2.71, and under 4.xx it just goes to black screen then dies.
I've seen many people with the same problem. Do you know what's going on?

I would have to go with, you have a bricked PSP. Imagine a car with no gas and potentially putting gas in it will get it going but what if its not just missing gas? Maybe its missing a fuel line too....

Yeah. It seems that fatms.prx + 4.01 = a full brick that looks a lot like a semi brick, and that you can waste a lot of time trying to fix it like you would fix a semi brick.
Here I come Pandora! I'm actually quite excited, cos this is my first ever brick.

fatmsmod.prx from 3.71 on 4.01 is possible as long as you dont use the encrypted version like u do on 3.80/3.90. However if you use the decrypted 180+ kb version as my tutorial it should work no problems. I have only had one person out of 6 forums say my tut wasnt working and im pretty sure it was them.

I did it day 1 of 4.01 and recovery flasher didnt exist. However since you bricked the psp on a file thats needed for reading the memory stick. It would be easy to conclude..... it cant read the memory stick!

Hey Rain, does the fatms.prx(3.71) work on 5.00M33?

U know there is a thread for that and it happens to be linked in my sig. No it doesnt, yet. But 5.00 has some drastic changes so even if the patcher was updated the chances of the MS Driver working in 5.00 is slim to none.
