What happens if you attempt to install on a slim with ofw v4.01? Or, in my friends case, v5.01?

If its hackable you will get custom firmware if its not hackable nothing will happen.

Awesome. Ive done it on plenty of FATS and just tested my sisters SLIM before trying my mates SLIM. I thought I'd rather break hers than his if you know what I mean
Its only that I notices his OFW is newer than hers so thought maybe it made a difference, I will try it out and see!

t works on slims with 5.01 ofw!

Hi,

I have ofw 5.03 on my slim. It originally came with 3.02 or something.

I have created the mms as per the instructions and have a pandora battery from Deal Extreme.

When the Pandora battery is inserted nothing much happens, a green light stays on but the screen remain off.

Any ideas as to what the problem may be?

What exactly are you doing? i.e. what steps are you taking to get to the black screen and green light.....

Well the tutorial says it doesnt work on late slim models that came with ofw 4.01.... but it works on my friends slim with 5.01....

it may have been below 4.xx when it had been out of the box and he may have upgraded to 5.01, with this. u can hack too... but if it was 4.xx and above out of the box, then it wud have been unhackable... so ,its normal for hacking a psp which was below 4.xx out of the box
