I have a PSP Phat with 3.90M33 CFirmware. I followed the tutorial on the first post of this thread, and all went well through to step 10. Assuming my Pandora battery and 'magic stick' were complete, I put the battery and memory stick into my mates PSP (slim), but nothing happened. IT turned on automatically, but nothing came up asking me to restore to 1.50. Thinking I missed a step, I put the battery and stick back into my Phat PSP, and it came on with the Pandora menu to restore the battery (square), restore the firmware or backup something. I chose to restore the battery, which it attempted, but it could not find the nand-backup file. I had a look, and it wasn't there. I don't know what happened, but I definitely chose to back it up during the whole process. Anyway, I downloaded a nand-backup file from the net, and tried to restore it, this time it telling me that it worked successfully, however, turning my PSP on again just kept bringing up the same Pandora menu. I then wasn't sure what to do next, so I formatted my memory card thinking it could have been files on my stick that kept bringing the menu up... but once I did this, my PSP just sits there with a black screen. The power turns on automatically, but it gives me no menu, no option to do anything... just like it was doing on the slim. I'm assuming i've bricked it now..., so can anyone help me restore it, or does it look like I just need to buy a new battery??? ***EDIT*** I've also just tried another PSP Phat battery in my PSP, and the power light comes on, but the screen remains black for about 5-10 seconds. Then it turns itself off. Bricked? The memory stick is fine in any other PSP. |

To recreate the stick, wouldn't I need another working Phat with CFW?
Is there any way to recreate the stick using my PC? Also, my battery looks like it's working as a Pandora battery, it's doing everything it should do as a Pandora battery, but then why would my PSP also not work if I have a different normal Phat battery in it?? Thank you |

Hi. I have a phat psp with 3.90 m33 installed. My friend has a slim with 3.90 official. So I am willing to help him install 3.90 m33. So far I've read this tutorial about making the pandora battery and memory stick. It's quite self explanatory. But I don't know what to do after I convert my battery and stick and installing the cfw to the slim. How am I gonna change my stuff back to normal so I can use them to my psp? Thanks in advance.

Edit : One other thing. When you put hellcat's installer in the memstick and then choose repartition and format the stick, the format procedure doesn't mean that the installer gets deleted from the stick?
