...Hey, if my PSP's light turns on, and the screen lights up, but nothing happens, what does this mean? I can go to recovery mode, but I can't actually turn on the PSP, what should I do?

blood shot you have a bricked psp.

since you can access the recovery menu you have three choices.

1) if you have a working nand dump you can restore that and it should go back to the way it was before.

2) use hellcat's recovery flasher to re-flash your firmware.

3) use a pandora battery to re-install your firmware.

Default More problems...again >_>

Well, here I am again, it's me ClipTy, I put that Netfront Browser on my PSP, and it started freezing again out of nowhere...I thought I could fix it by following the procedure again, but unfortunately, it didn't work this time...>_> -sigh- if anyone has an idea, help me out.

and for the record, Bloodshot was actually me..I just wanted to avoid the embarrassment... sorry for lying...I probably deserve it. Well, you have all the data and stuff...I just never figured out how to work the NAND dumper...

use the old ima file from ur first attempt here

and restore it

or u can replace your original htmlveiwer.prx (or whatever)

and then repeat the flash defrag process

Actually, I've found that it saves write cycles to just make flash0 mods to the backup image instead of flash0 itself, then defrag it and restore the new image to flash0. This saves a couple of steps too, and you can make multiple changes all at once to the backup image and be practically certain they'll all work right when you finally defrag and restore it.

Oh, and for ClipTy, I've had my share of problems with the new NetFront browser myself. So far, only the first beta works for me, and the wireless will start blinking like crazy and stop working randomly. The 2 newer betas detect my phat as a slim and therefore crash immediately after. I haven't even tried the flash0 prx yet because of this. Good homebrew, but not quite ready yet . . .

Do yourself a favor Clip. Aside from being more honest with people in the future, you should also consider waiting until homebrew makes it out of the beta phase before putting it on your flash0. Your PSPs NAND isn't going to last forever if you're always testing stuff out on it, so unless you're a developer or have spare PSPs to throw around, you might want to consider saving the flash0 mods for known stable homebrew if you want to make your PSP last.

Ok, my PSP's like officially dying on me now, I tried Pandora, and I've tried anything...I was playing it normally last night, and I charged it to full battery, the next day, I try to turn it on, and then it shuts back off...I try turning it on over and over, after about 30 tries, I put it back down, and walked away...not sure what's going on now...I think it's time for a new PSP... If anyone has any last options for me...speak up, or I'll have to start saving my money again..hehe..whatever, guess I'll be stuck with my DS and Xbox360 for now.

Okay, I've accomplished something, I got the PSP on, I re-installed CFW 4.01 M33-2...then upgraded to 5.00 M33-6, all seems to be working right now...but I don't know if it will stay like this...What can I do to make sure this won't happen again?? Hopefully you can help, thanks for the help this far...
