The file you'll be restoring is the defragmented image file. You'll be restoring this file straight to flash0 through WinImage, so the image file doesn't actually need to go on the PSP, unless you just want to keep it there for a backup.

I think the problems you've had with your computer have confused you. After doing the Pandora thing, wipe your mind clean of this confusion and start back at step 1 on another computer, then take it from there step by step.

i litterally lmfao !!

i too am sorry if i was snippy or in way offended you, but i really didnt want to see this happen to you, if you slow down and follow over_clox directions everything should go fine.

just curious what happened if you tried the read disk option in vista? did it read it?

but for the restoration just stick with XP and Over_clox directions and hopefully it will go better for you next time.

again sorry if i caused any offense.

------------------------edit----------------------------------

you should be able to use the same serial number from your copy of win image to install it on the other machine.

do this:
if you havent already do a full nand back up

then:
psp into recovery mode
goto advanced
goto toggle usb mode (flash0)
goto winimage
goto disk
goto use removable drive and check it

now in the same "disk" menu click creating virtual hard disk image from physical drive.

if you see your psp on the list or its drive letter then do it.

it will save a vhd file to your desktop, this is essentially the same thing as the ima you made.

or if that doesnt work

goto the disk menu again, make sure use removable disk is still checked, and use the option read disk, then you will get an actual ima file and you can try useing that.

----------------------edit----------------------------------

look very closly again at the second picture you posted, because i just did and guess what i noticed...

your psp is all ready present and showing up you should be able to do what ever it is your gonna do next.

Ok, sorry to have doubted your abilities. It looks like you've been doing everything right so far by the pictures and what you've said. It should show up in the list, but for you it obviously isn't. If you try a thumb drive, does it show up in the list?

I noticed that you have a Safely Remove Hardware icon by your clock. You said it doesn't show up there either - so are other devices showing up? Try unplugging all other USB devices and only plugging in the PSP. I've seen Windows go completely retarded before with USB storage devices because an otherwise functional Belkin wireless adapter was plugged in. You could actually have another semi-faulty USB device interfering with the PSP.

It could be a problem unique to Vista, I'm not sure. Try the process on another computer and see what results you get. That should begin to tell you pretty quick whether it's the PSP or your computer.

Glad to hear that. If you don't mind my asking, what problems were you having to make you try this?

First of all, I forgive you for underestimating me, it's okay. and second off, I put in a Thumb Drive and it actually showed up on Safely remove hardware...I also tried unplugging all of my USB devices...and that didn't work so well, didn't change a thing...

However, lucky for me, my brother has a windows XP, I will try and do my work on there (if he lets me) Only problem is getting WinImage lolz. Oh well, hopefully it all works out in the end...thanks for your help so far.

over_clox, I'm on my brother's computer, and everything working great...I just need help on the Restoring part on WinImage, what file do I need to restore exactly, and where did I have to put those defragmented flash files? I'd like this done ASAP because I'm sick of this lolz...and I know you are too.
