i would remove this part,or reword it to say something along the lines of "Custom firmware allows you to play backups of games (iso's) which can be acquired legally, or illegally.
in my opinon, what you have there is a pretty blatant promotion of piracy, which isn't the intention of the iso support, even though that is what it is used for, mostly.

also, OFW is usually known as Official Firmware, not Original Firmware

I upgraded my psp from 1.50 to 3.52 m33. Where do i need to create folder in memory stick to copy game and what folder to named. your help is greatly appreciated

upgrade to the latest and the best firmware.. 5.00m33-6

run these installers from with 3.xx kernal mode set.(hold R trigger when starting psp to enter recovery menu, enter config, set game homebrew kernal to 3.xx)

-first download this file

-extract it

-after extracting it, u will get a 5.00 official firmware eboot.

-rename it as 500.PBP

-then download this link below

-u will get a update folder

-put the 500.PBP in that update folder

-connect ur psp to pc via usb cable or card reader

-put the update folder in PSP/GAME/

-run it from the xmb, thats all


then after upgrading to 5.00m33-6,

format flash1 and reset settings by going to recovery menu ( turn ur psp off fully (not in sleep mode) and then hold R button and turn it on) it will go to recovery menu, then go to advance and klik format flash1 and reset settings (this wont harm ur psp, will only reset ur settings))

u need to set ur iso loader and boost ur cpu speeds...

To do so, enter VSH menu press select button from xmb) then scroll down and set umd mode/iso loader to SONY NP9660(The Best!)
Next, boost ur cpu speeds in game and xmb to 333/166(in VSH menu), this will not harm ur psp(only uses battery up a little faster)(Wifi card can become hot if used for long periods @ this speed)
Also, format memstick to delete unneeded install files and create folder structure...


put the iso/cso games to the ISO folder which will be in the root of the mem stick

Updating PSP with 3.5x Firmware or lower without Pandora Battery and Magic Memory Stick

This is basically one of the easiest ways of flashing your PSP. If you have a Fat PSP (remember they are marked with 100x, replace the X with a number) it can be Modded with Original Firmware 3.52 or lower. If you have 3.52 on a Fat PSP, you want to place the 3.52 original Firmware and Custom firmware (m33) Eboot and PBP file in the Game Folder on the PC in your PSP. Then on your PSP, go to the GAME section and in your "Memory Stick" you will see the (m33) file click it and follow the instructions.
NOTE: Don't forget to go to www.psp-hacks.com Downloads section for the M33 and OFW files

Nope, anything over 3.52 cannot be downgraded, but you can always use ChickHEN or Pandora.

My PSP's firmware is at 5.51. If I use ChickHEN, will my PlayStation Portable brick? Or do I have to use the Pandora Battery?
