Default Downgrade any psp to 3.80 m33-4. Very friendly!

Hi,

This is a quick guide to help you downgrade your psp effortlessly.

I own a slim psp which originally came with ofw 3.xx, i upgraded to ofw 5.03. (I know stupid thing to do!)

I purchased a Pandora battery for $6 from:

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.12472

I had a 4gb MS pro duo.

I followed the instruction found on 3 you tube videos. They're pretty straight forward and easy to follow.

Once you've completed the instructions on the videos you should have cfw 3.80 m33-4. Proceed to update using the psp's update feature. That should give you cfw 5.00 m33-6.

The files required for the Magic memory stick are in the link provided below. Please use WINRAR to unpack the folder.

Good luck. Just remember to follow the instructions and all will be cool.

Credit goes to youtube id: SilverpotatoXL for creating the videos. Thanks dude!

PS: I tried to use Rain's Ultarlite MMS maker but i kept getting an error message:

'The ipl failed to inject.
Not enough reserved sector space for ipl.
This could be due to a problem with the memory stick.
Without the ipl pandora wil not boot. Would you like to continue anyway?'

I even tried psp grader v008 and still received the same message. Without the ipl, pandora will not work.

Now see, there's another thing I've learnt.
Thanks for the tip. Will certainly try it out.

As far as mt psp goes, I'm completely happy with it and so far no problems what-so-ever.
I reckon you realise how vast homebrew is on the net, only after cfw is installed.

yes but no.
all firmwares are hackable.
the exception comes into play with what motherboard the psp has.
psp3000=no, none are
psp2000=depends on motherboard.
psp1000=yes all are hackable

easiest trick is, if ur psp came with 3.95 or lower before u upgraded it it can be hacked.
anything with 4.01 or higher brand new outta the box has the new motherboard and cant be hacked.

read the stickies in the help section
