It got 6.7 on IMDB but I didn't like it very much. For a movie about skateboarding/surfing there weren't a lot of good tricks done. I thought the plot was kind of dumb and they kept playing the same song over and over again during the movie. Does anyone agree/disagree?? |

Lords of Dogtown is an epic movie for us skateboarders.
Sure, there aren't tricks done combos like kickflip to 50-50 or switch treflip to nose-manny to kickflip out such things. But knowing that skateboarding started from surfing, Stacey Peralta, Jason Adams, Tony Alva and they're sponsor started the skateboarding biz. Up to now, those three are known as the pioneers of skateboarding and still alive. Stacey Peralta owns Powell skateboards and they started working with Tony Hawk when they were begginer pros, Jason Adams still owns the bean pool and is sponsored by Grind King and Tony Alva? Well, I dunno where he's at. All the tricks (flip tricks mostly) are invented my Rodney Mullen. I think it's in the mid 80's or something... OT: Sorry for hi-jacking this thread, I am a skateboarder and I know what the movie is all about... Peace! :D
