Summary:

Traxxpad, is an application which transforms the PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system into a powerful piece of professional music studio equipment. Now you can create, mix and sample tracks on the go with your PSP. Traxxpad blends the power of sequencers, drum machines, and keyboards while simultaneously making the equipment easy to use and accessible, allowing anyone to create, mix and sample their own tracks at home or on-the-go. Music making can be as fun and easy as simply pressing buttons, or as in-depth and detailed as the user wants make it.

Equipped with over 1000 stock sounds which range from drum samples to exotic instruments, the extensive sound library ensures that there is always variety to choose from. If more is needed, Traxxpad can also be utilized as a Sampler, utilizing its compatibility with the PSP® system microphone. Sample anything, anywhere, and then use the wave editor to trim, adjust gain, normalize or reverse the recording. Most importantly, Traxxpad allows users to export their songs to mp3 files, enabling production to be as easy as burning to a disc or transferring to your MP3 player.

With Traxxpad, you now have the ability to make a sick beat, the perfect song, or the best ring tone - the choice is yours, and creativity knows no bounds.

* Features:

Real Time Interactive Sequencing Technology or R.TIST makes beat making as easy as “Button Mashing”. Built in quantizer is set to a 16th note, which automatically sequences your hits for you.

STAC or Studio Thru A Console takes your sequences created in R.TIST and assembles them into songs, similar to powerful PC applications where you can mix them down and export.

Myxer allows you to take your individual tracks or sequences and can trigger them to play when its button is pressed. By turning on and off you can remix your creations on the fly.

Melody Maker takes your sample and can pitch it up and down keys as well as up and down octaves. This converts the PSP into a new age digital instrument!

Sampler – Paired with the PSP microphone, you can sample anything at home or on the go and incorporate it into your music. Use the Chop Shop (wave editor) to Trim, Adjust Gain, Normalize and Reverse samples.

Expansive Sound Libraries – Traxxpad will be loaded with over 1000 stock sounds ranging from every drum sample you can think of, to exotic instruments, sound effects and more.

Stunning Graphics – Make beats in over 30 different interfaces or looks.

Export your music – Create your beats and export to .wav or .mp3. Now you can take your music and burn to a disc, play in your car, CD player or export to create your very own custom ring tone.

Adhoc/File Sharing – All beats, tracks and sequences can be sent via Adhoc Mode through the PSP. Peer to peer sharing will make file transferring a snap. Another form of file sharing utilizes the Memory Stick and allows for players to share or trade MP3’s and songs with friends.

TraxxPad is tight. You'd need to know a little bit about production, and maybe some software programs like FL Studio, or Reason to get the basics down on TraxxPad. I read some reviews on the game, and one review gave it like 3/10 because it was so confusing. Like I said, you can't expect to pump out the gnarly beats right away, you have to learn how to use it first, and being a producer just helps along with the process.

If I were to review it, I'd definately give it 10/10...its basically like a smaller, more portable MPC. Good stuff.
