EchoChrome was leaked some time ago after its translation into english.
To summerize, anyone with a 3 digit IQ should get this game :P Buttonmashers may be frustrated by the awkward puzzles, but even so this is an incredible game. It has a huge selection of puzzles, all of which can be played in different game modes. For anyone who doesn't know the basic concept, EchoChrome is a Japanese puzzle game based on perception. The only control is pause, and changing the camera. The trick is, what the camera sees is what is there. If you rotate the camera so it looks like two paths are connected, even if they're not, they will act like they are. You can fall onto things that are above you, and if you can't see a hole or an obsticle, it's not there :P The game comes with a level editor, and a real philosophical feel. I highly reccomend this game to anyone. The puzzles vary in sizes, lengths and difficulty, and the three game modes cater for everyone's intellectual tastes. Video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=QfICeBtVv8U The video is sped up and intermission scenes like scores have been edited out. It's clear which are tutorial levels and which are puzzles. |
