Yes. It is a wide, common practice to get a SDHC - Memory stick pro duo converter and use SDHC sticks because of cost-effectiveness.

Dealextreme is a pretty nice site (recommended by members of pspmod.com)

MicroSD converter and such - read details.

However, such a converter can only support up to 8GB or so.

I got a SanDisk MicroSD to Pro Duo adapter and the MicroSD fit in it so poorly that the adapter cracked and broke. Any advice on the best adapters? Also, has anyone tried a USB card reader with a mini-usb adapter, or even attached an external drive? Is this possible?

Thanks!!

In New Zealand this place is alright, never had problems with it. The memory sticks are magic gate supported - is that the key? And also I've been using them for years without problems.

For those who still read this thread, I bought mine from DealExtreme (8GB) for only $15. These cards ARE fake, but they work great. Not only that, but they charge no shipping, but the time to receive may be from 2-3 weeks.

Highly recommended site for those who wish to buy one and to save huge amounts of money.
