Heya,
I just thought I would post this since it would help alot of people get decent prices on memory cards and avoid being victims to fakes that are about on www.ebay.co.uk and www.amazon.co.uk . Don't get me wrong if you find a decent enough price and you legit cards on either of those sites then thats cool but if buying from either of those places make sure they will send them to you factory sealed or at least have the feedback from others buying the same item to avoid the scams. If you have had problems with any sites give them a mention at least that way we can warn each other and avoid being ripped off. If you mention a site thats bad for any reason please make it a valid reason e.g Fake cards, refused refund when advertises otherwise. Don't post it as a bad site if e.g It took an extra day to deliver, I bought a card and then found out they don't ship to my country etc. If anyone else can suggest more sites that do good deals or that they have purchased from and are reliable I will add them to this thread. Im in no way responsible if you use any sites listed here, this is just to guide you to the right places. If it's a U.S website you can convert USD($) to GBP(£) here http://www.x-rates.com/calculator.html (Thanks EclipseSin). Update: If there is conflicting information about a site it will go into the bad list as selling possible fakes to save concern ================================================================= ======================================================== Good Sites - Get your memory cards from here: www.mobymemory.com www.dabs.com www.mymemory.co.uk www.newegg.com www.sony.co.uk www.estarland.com www.cclonline.com www.play.com www.zipzoomfly.com www.newegg.com www.shop1.frys.com www.allmemorycards.co.uk Bad Sites - Avoid going here: www.ebay.com - Possible fakes flying around, be very careful www.amazon.com - Possible fakes flying around, be very careful www.tigerdirect.com - Confirmed fakes & No refunds www.net-stick.com - Confirmed fakes, Good quality fakes www.memorybits.co.uk - Confirmed fakes ================================================================= ======================================================== If you have a Sandisk card follow this: Quote:

Hey, I have a quick question.
I was looking at the sandisk rapidgx cards on ebay, and the 2g ones are much cheaper now. I was wondering if there were any fake rapidgx cards made, because they're not that common, and if ebay would be safe for buying them. Would getting a high-speed card like this make loading times significantly shorter? Can anyone recommend any good cards under $30 that I can buy online in the US? Thanks for any help! |

I'm thinking of getting one from Deal Extreme (see below). Anyone know if this is a fake?
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.12711 Never mind, this apparently is a fake. Last edited by Warbird; 11-16-2008 at 07:32 PM. |

buy.com is very cheap.
8GB sandisk GAMING card*green* pro duo card is normally about $52.99 and you can sign up for a credit card and get $30 knocked off your plus + free shipping all the time. http://www.buy.com/prod/sandisk-8gb-...206684088.html RIGHT NOW the card is only $46 something with free shipping.. not a bad deal if you ask me =] and it works great, i have one. also, the credit card will get you 3% off there after.. =] Last edited by hotmilk400; 12-02-2008 at 08:27 PM. |

If you're looking for a 16 GB memstick for your PSP, it should look like this (minus the Play-Asia logo):
![]() http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-...n-70-2x5l.html Note that it reads MS-MT16G for the series. If you live in Hong Kong, Mongkok is the place to go for 16 GB memsticks that go for 730 HKD (~$95 USD). ADDED: And yes, that is a pink/purple circle that the number "16" is on. I haven't had any issues with my 16 GB memstick so it could be a driver glitch from the kernel on your psp. Last edited by mahouneko; 12-19-2008 at 09:46 AM. |
