It's probably fake, press triangle on any of the memory stick icons under PHOTO/GAME/MUSIC/VIDEO and go to Information. If it says MagicGate Unknown or Unsupported then it's fake.

Default 1-Fixing semi-bricks/full-bricks

1-Fixing semi-bricks/full-bricks

Q:My PSP refuses to turn on , green light with black screen
A:Can it access recovery menu ?

Q1:Yeah it can access recovery menu , so what to do now ?
A:This means it's semi-bricked .Go to Advanced and click on the last option which is format flash1 and reset settings

Q:That didn't help , any other ideas ?
A:Sure your solution is easy
Follow these instructions :
1-Download these two files :

Then Do the following :

1-Download Hellcat Recovery Flasher 1.6.Click here
2-Extract it
3-Go To RECOVERY menu
4-Go to configuration and make sure game folder homebrew is set to 3.XX/4.XX/5.XX kernel
5-Toggle USB from Recovery menu
6-Copy the RECOVERY folder resulted from the extraction to :
ms0:/PSP/GAME/ (ms0 is your psp memory stick)
7-Don't Disable USB , continue
8-Download 5.00 OFW.Click here
9-Extract it
10-It'll give you an EBOOT.PBP file
11-Rename that EBOOT.PBP to exactly '500.PBP' without the quotes
(NOTE : if the EBOOT.PBP file in your PC its name just shows as EBOOT , then rename it to '500' only)
12-Copy the renamed EBOOT to the root of your memory stick or RECOVERY folder in your PSP memory stick . Either way it works
13-Exit USB ( by clicking X on toggle usb )
14-Click on the option ( run program at PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP)
15-Agree
16-Make sure that target FW is set to 5.XX
17-Select the option ( install CFW of version selected above )
18-It'll ask you if you wanna reset settings , i recommend you do that
19-It'll do the job on its own , wait for it to be done
20-When it's done , it'll prompt you to press any button to reboot
21-You'll notice that the power light is blinking , DON'T BE AFRAID and DON'T DO ANYTHING , just wait and it'll reboot automatically or shut down.
22 You have just unbricked your PSP and installed 5.00 M33-6 CFW !
23-When you're in XMB (PSP main menu) press select and change UMD ISO mode to M33 Driver or Sony NP9660 .
24-I recommend you format the memory stick from the PSP to create folder structure
25-Enjoy!

A pic of hellcat recovery flasher :

Q2:No my PSP can't access Recovery menu , So What ?
A:This means it's full bricked . Follow this guide to make a Pandora battery and magic memory stick to unbrick your PSP . Click here
But check this first . it might not be full bricked :if you can here the start up , backlight fuse has blown. way to verify hold psp to a light at an angle will be able to see the xmb faintly.

Q:Umm , what's difference between softmodding and hardmodding
pandora ?
A:To hardmod a battery to pandora , you need to open it and make it pandora from inside and that's difficult . To softmod one , you have to find a friend with a hacked PSP which can make pandora for he to softmod your battery to Pandora

Q:After i make a Pandora and a Magic memory stick , can i use them as normal battery and normal memory stick
A:If you battery was soft modded to Pandora , you can softmod it back to normal through the same program you used to convert it to pandora. and then format your memory stick to be normal again. If your battery was hardmodded , then you can't convert it back to normal except in a hard way , so use the magic memory stick maker you used to inject ipl to all of your memory sticks to boot with your pandora battery

Default 2-Fixing analog stick problems

2-Fixing analog stick problems

Q1:My analog stick keeps on moving alone without i touch it !
A:Does it move in the same directions each time ?

Q:Yes
A:Your solution is Joy Sens . Click here to download it
Instructions :
1-Extract it and put it in your PSP as a normal plugin
2-Then follow this semi automatic way to make your analog stick act as normal.
Quote from the Readme :
Quote:
- Move the analog stick to the top-left and hold it a few seconds, then release slowly until it's centered and don't
touch it anymore. Press NOTE+SQUARE,
- Move the analog stick to the bottom-right and hold a few seconds, release slowly until centered. Press NOTE+SQUARE.
- Repeat these steps until the center point has been found correctly (optimally, this is the mean value of the axes
minimal and maximal value when the stick isn't touched).
Default value is <0,0>.

[/QUOTE]

The way above worked perfectly fine with me

Q2:My analog doesn't respond to UP/DOWN/TOP/BOTTOM
A:Use Joy sens to increase the sensivity .
Hold NOTE and Click on R trigger to increase and L trigger to decrease
Increase to 200%, if same increase to 300% , if same increase to 400% (MAX)
If it doesn't work then try this way :
Quote from the readme :
Q: My analog stick doesn't recognize input to the left/right/top/bottom!

A: Quote from the readme
Quote:
Check the first line of the info output when pressing the analog stick in that direction. If the analog stick scales correctly
you should see values -128 (up or left) or 127 (down or right) as the first (left or right) or second (up or down) coordinate.
So if you move your stick to the left, you should see <-128,*>, to the right you should see <127,*>, pulling up you should see
<*,-128> and down you should see <*,127>. If the values are smaller (bigger) your analog stick is messed up and you need to adjust
the min/max values in the ini file to represent the minimal/maximal values you get when moving the stick to the extremes.
Let's say you get values <-128,-101> to <96,127> then edit the ini file and set min to <-128,-98> and max to <93,127> or equal.
You should decrease the non maximum values a bit (by 2-3 is good in most cases) since those values are not 100% correct, so
you might still end up with unresponsive input with the exact values.
Now restart the plugin (by starting a homebrew/game or restarting the PSP) and check if analog stick is responsive again. If not
try to decrease the values further until it is.

Default 3-Updating/Reflashing/Downgrading CFW

3-Updating/Reflashing/Downgrading CFW
Note:Before updating to any higher CFW , make a backup of all of your savedata in ms0:/PSP/SAVEDATA/ because updating might corrupt the savedata on your memory stick , so you have your backup , put it back to its place and the savedata will be no longer corrupted

Q:I wanna update my CFW
A:What CFW do you want to update to?

Q1:5.00 M33-6
A:Then Follow Step A only

Q2:I wanna update to 5.50 GEN-D2
A:If you CFW is allready 4.01 M33 or higher , then use Step B&Step C, if it's lower than 4.01 M33 , then start from Step A

Step A :( To upgrade to 5.00 M33-6 from any CFW/To upgrade to 5.00 M33-6 from 1.50 OFW/ To downgrade from any 5.50 GEN CFW to 5.00 M33-6/To reflash firmware for fixing problems )

NOTE: THIS IS ONLY FOR PHAT PSPS AND PSP 2000 WITH OLD HACKABLE NON TA-088 V3 MOBOS . DON'T ATTEMP TO TRY THIS ON A PSP 3000 OR A SLIM PSP WITH TA-088 V3 MOBO

1-Reboot to Recovery menu and go to configuration and make sure game folder homebrew is set to 3.XX/4.XX kernel. Set to 5.XX kernel if you wanna dowgrade from 5.50 Gen-b2 to 5.00 M33-6 ( Not needed to set kernel if you're on 1.50 OFW as you can't access recovery menu )
2-Download Hellcat Recovery Flasher 1.6 . Click here
3-Extract it
4-If you're on CFW : Copy the RECOVERY folder resulted from the extraction to :
ms0:/PSP/GAME/ (ms0 is your psp memory stick)
If you're on 1.50 OFW :Copy the two folders in FW1.50 to ms0:/PSP/GAME/
5-Don't Disable USB , continue
5-Download 5.00 OFW . Click here
6-Extract it
7-It'll give you an EBOOT.PBP file
8-Rename that EBOOT.PBP to exactly '500.PBP' without the quotes
(NOTE : if the EBOOT.PBP file in your PC its name just shows as EBOOT , then rename it to '500' only)
9-Copy the renamed EBOOT to the root of your memory stick or RECOVERY folder in your PSP memory stick . Either way it works
10-Exit USB mode
11-Run Hellcat recovery flasher 1.6 from Game in XMb
13-Make sure that target FW is set to 5.XX
14-Select the option ( install CFW of version selected above )
15-It'll ask you if you wanna reset settings , i recommend you do that
16-It'll do the job on its own , wait for it to be done
17-When it's done , it'll prompt you to press any button to reboot
18-You'll notice that the power light is blinking , DON'T BE AFRAID and DON'T DO ANYTHING , just wait and it'll reboot automatically or shut down.
19- You have just installed 5.00 M33-6 CFW !
20-When you're in XMB (PSP main menu) press select and change UMD ISO mode to M33 Driver or Sony NP9660 .
21-I recommend you format the memory stick from the PSP to create folder structure
22-Enjoy!

Again a pic of hellcat recovery flasher :

Step B ( Upgrading to 5.50 Gen-D2/Reflashing 5.50 Gen-D )
Note : You can skip the STEP A if you wanna go to 5.50 Gen-D directly but your CFW needs to be at least 4.01 M33 )

NOTE: THIS IS ONLY FOR PHAT PSPS AND PSP 2000 WITH OLD HACKABLE NON TA-088 V3 MOBOS . DON'T ATTEMP TO TRY THIS ON A PSP 3000 OR A SLIM PSP WITH TA-088 V3 MOBO

Instructions
1-Reboot to recovery , go to configuration and make sure game folder homebrew is set to 4.XX/5.XX ( I didn't say 3.XX because this program requires 4.01 M33 CFW at least to run )
2-Download This file
3-Extract it
4-Copy the 550.PBP file to the root of your memory stick and UPDATE folder to ms0:/PSP/GAME ( ms0 is your memory stick )
5-Go run the program from Game in your XMB
6-Click Enter
7-Choose the first option
8-Wait for it to be done
9-When it's done it'll tell you to click X to reboot or 0 to shut down
10-While in XMB , press select and change UMD ISO mode to m33 driver or sony np9660
11-Format the memory stick from the PSP to create folder structure
12-Enjoy!

You system software will be like this :

STEP C : Upgrading to 5.50 GEN-D2
NOTE: THIS IS ONLY FOR PHAT PSPS AND PSP 2000 WITH OLD HACKABLE NON TA-088 V3 MOBOS . DON'T ATTEMP TO TRY THIS ON A PSP 3000 OR A SLIM PSP WITH TA-088 V3 MOBO

1-Download this file.Click here
2-Extract it
3-You'll find a PSP folder , Open it
4-You'll find a GAME folder , Open it
5-You'll find another folder named 'GEN-D2'
6-Copy the folder 'GEN-D2' to ms0:/PSP/GAME/
7-Go run the updater from Game in XMB

8-When you run it , It'll tell you to press X to continue the update or press 0 to quit
9-Press X
10-When done it'll tell you to press X to exit
11-You're now on CFW 5.50 GEN-D2 ! Enjoy!!

Note : The place marked with the arrow is the mobo version.

6-Download Key Cleaner 1.4 . Click here

7-Extract it and copy the folder it gave you to ms0:/PSP/GAME/

10-Enter the program

11-Choose your motherboard type by pressing the corresponding button

12-Press X to analyze the keys

Master Boy 2.02 emulates the SEGA Master System and Game Gear, Gameboy, Gameboy Colour, and Super Gameboy

Download : Click here

Usage

Just copy the MasterBoy folder in the PSP/GAME directory of your PSP like every other PSP app.
Then put your ROMs somewhere on your Memory Stick. You should regroup them in one folder, so
that it's easier to find and play them. In the MasterBoy folder, by default there are two directories :
Roms SMS and Roms GBC, you can use these folders by default to place your games.
Start MasterBoy. It will display a menu where Load ROM is the first selected option. Select it with the
cross (X) button.

Load a Rom

When selecting Load ROM from the File menu, you will be brought to a list of the folders located in
your ms0:/PSP/GAME directory. You can go to the parent folder by pressing the triangle button, or
select a folder with up/down and cross.
When ROMs (*.gg, *.sms, *.bin, *.gb, *.gbc, *.sgb, *.cgb, *.zip) are available, they're displayed just
after the folders. Press cross (X) to select one, the game will be loaded and started automatically.
