i bought it brand new and at the bottom of the psp it is said to be psp 3006, even also at the part where the battery is place, it is psp 3006.....

i wonder also whenever i run GEN-B i says that it is psp brite... so confused now...

Check down on the sticker of the serial , in the end of the sticked , does it say psp 200X , or psp 300X ??

It is a BRITE but you have a fully hackable mobo in it which ive never heard of before in a NEW PSP.... The TA090v1 is the mobo that SONY uses to replace damaged ones in the 3000 series so i believe this to be quite rare!

This is a fully hackable mobo
This means you can install full CFW ( like 5.50 GEN-D2 )
But , Gusha , R u sure installing Full CFW won't brick his PSP ?

Because you can get rid of the pain in the ass chickhen cuz you can install 5.50 GEN-D2 full CFW so you won't have to renable CFW each time your reboot your PSP

If you have the ta90v1 then no , there are no chance of bricking except if you do something wrong , if you do everything correct , then you'll be happy with your 5.50 GEN-D2
